Super cute!
My kids tends to take them off though and uses them for toys! Had a little problem with double knotting but other wise its works for me!! One tie really is enough as they really secure the shoe laces

Not for use on playful kids?
I got these today. Out of the package they were cute and fit well on my 19 month old's sneakers. I followed all directions on the package and took my son outside to play. 15 minutes of normal play later one of the rings, where the shoelace slides through, snapped off.My son was not playing in a rougher way than normal so I guess these are just an inferior product or not for use with playful toddlers. What a shame, I was really hoping these would fix our untied shoelace problem.

This is something from the 80s I wish was easier to find!
I was a child of the 80s and remember these BowBiters! They kept our shoes tied when we were little and came in really cool characters. Well, I have a baby brother who's in 1st grade and can't tie his shoes quite yet. Some kids just aren't that talented when it comes to motor skills. So, I bought these. I had wanted the Muppet Animal ones that I remember for him, but no luck. These are definitely a close runner up though! He loves them and being a 7 yr old boy, he has definitely tested their durability. These things have lasted 6 months so far! Which is practically a miracle for him! I think these are definitely a good idea for small children! I wish they only came in more characters!

Very Cute
These cookie monster bow biters were just what we needed! They are easy to use! We adults can easily get them on the shoes and littles hands can not get the bows untied. Very nice and very helpful!

Bow Biters
I don't review things with an angry mind. That being said, I am prepared to be fair. These bow biters are not like the ones I had as a kid, these are mechanically functioned with a VERY low level spring. This is not as strong as the locking bow biters I had as a kid. I assume this change is to keep fingers from getting bit.I bought these for my autistic 4 YR old, and in 6 months, she has only broken one pair. So the plastic is fairly durable. They do keep her shoes tied, I don't suggest double knots, they might be too fat for the bow biter to swallow. If your child is into untying their shoes, they are just curious, I don't see that as a reason to knock the product. These work just fine for holding a bow in place, and make a great little shoe accessory for your little one to look at on their feet!

Cheap
Despite the price they are a cheap product. My 13 month old figured out how to pop them off the first time I put them on. She then instantly broke the item in half. Not worth the money.
