Overall, one great bow!
I have a compound bow, but this was my first recurve bow, so I have no other recurve bows to compare it to. The wood on the riser is nice and well done. The โMade in Chinaโ stickers on the limbs are unsightly, so I covered them with different stickers. The included stringer tool made it easy to install the Flemish fast flight string, which I purchased separately. Iโve only shot about 300 arrows from it so far, but this bow performs very well. I wanted a recurve bow due to the simplicity and to have more of a challenge than a compound bow. I actually shoot more accurately with this simple Southwest Archery bow without sights than with my Matthewโs single cam with all the bells & whistles. And itโs so fun to shoot that I canโt wait until the next time I pick it up. I bought this bow based on positive reviews and I donโt regret the purchase. Itโs overall, one great bow!

Functional eye candy...
I absolutely love the feel of this bow in my hand. It just feels right... I work with hunters and all of us use guns and bows. The skill level is all over the board with us. I would watch all of them hold it and like me they instantly had a smile on their faces. The first thing they would say was how nice it fit in their hand and how light it was. Then started the questions. Where did you find it? How much was it? The price was a hit with all of us. Oh and you guys really nailed it with the spider logo it was the last thing noticed by everyone but was positively commented on. It's just another piece of eye candy to add to the overall coolness and beauty of this wonderful bow...

Seems like a good bow for the money
Bought this as a gift for my son. I did shoot it a few times and it is pretty smooth and accurate. Probably should have gotten 35 lb limbs instead of the 45 lb, is a little heavy for him to learn on despite being in archery for 2 years. The bow looks really good. I don't like the stringer at all! I would suggest buying just the bow and ordering a stringer seperate that has good reviews online. I would recommend this bow to anyone looking for a good reasonabley priced bow. Just don't expect it to be a $1000 custom.

Great bow, great company.
Great bow and Amazing company (Southwest)! Definitely recommend this. There was a problem with my order, Amazon forgot to send the stringer tool and was not at all helpful in resolving the issue. I reached out to Southwest directly, and they took care of me even though it was not at all their fault or responsibility. As for the bow, it is beautiful, well made, fits my hand perfectly (very ergonomic) and does exactly what it is supposed to. Shoots pretty quiet but still benefits from a string silencer. I'm also using fast flight string with this bow and that isn't an issue. Compared to the sage, which I also own, the spyder is lighter, more streamlined, and has a more comfortable grip in my opinion. Definetely reccomended. Limbs between samick sage and spyder are also interchangeable, which for me is a plus.

Good quality
The Spyder take down is a pretty good bow for the price. I'd say it is as good as Samick and PSE bows in this price range. The riser is well finished and has a good feel and the 45# limbs on it are nice and straight. Within 15 minutes of opening the box, I was shooting a tight group. I crimped a nock point 3/8" above square after installing the stick-on arrow rest, so it shoots well with little tuning. I shoot vanes so I use an arrow rest, otherwise I'm sure this will shoot great using feathers off the shelf. I like this bow and would recommend it to anyone starting new or just wanting a recurve for fun target shooting.

Love it!
The bow looked even better than in pictures. It's very sturdy nice craftsmanship. I bought the 45lbs draw and glad I didn't go higher for now! Very accurate and fits well in hand my being a beginner I could of used a little more information but was able to figure it out more or less.

Looks good
This is my first takedown bow, also the first bow I've owned in years. The finish is nearly flawless, the parts fit well, and the bow seems to shoot well so far. At 62 inches it's a bit more cumbersome than the Ben Pearson Spectre I used to shoot but I'm getting used to it and there's not much risk of overdrawing. The power seems to be good, there's no sign anywhere of delamination or warping. The Dacron bowstring is a little stretchy but I think I've fired it in now. It took quite a few twists to get the brace height but it's holding well at 8 inches. The stick-on arrow rest ain't the fanciest but it actually works, just be sure to wipe the mounting area clean & press FIRMLY to bond the rest to the riser. All the accessory mounting holes on the riser have brass inserts. The laminated riser is colorful & attractive. I haven't noticed any problems so far but be certain to buy arrows with Feather fletching, no plastic vanes. The bow will shoot vanes but if you don't use something like a 'whisker biscuit' rest your shots will be all over the map.

SW Archery Spyder Takedown Recurve Bow - A Good Buy
This takedown bow assembles easily, and the excellent craftsmanship is evident from the moment you pick it up. After two outings with the bow, I must say that this 62โ bow handles well, and I especially like the aesthetics of the design. I have added a sight, arrow rest, and plunger to the setup.
