It self feeds the water so you just pump push pull I've use these on fires for years the work gret

I suppose you could, but I would not recommend it. A 15 dollar sprayer would make more sense

Not sure about the $200 version - somebody may have added $50 to the price - It shoots about 25-30 feet with the streaming nozzle, shorter with the wide spray nozzle

Q: What about algae over time? Would it be okay to add a bit of bleach to the water if stored full for a year?

You can add a cap of bleach and dump the water when done and leave the top off
