Slinky The Original Brand Metal 3 Pack, Package may vary

I saw some reviewers were disappointed with their slinky as they were unsuccessful at getting them to walk down stairs. Many stairs have treads that are too deep for a Slinky. So we set up a piece of scrap plywood with a thin blanket for extra traction and experimented until we got just the right slope and then the Slinky “walked” down perfectly.

Nephews received tons of electronic and other gifts at Christmas, yet when they each got a Slinky THAT was the toy they chose to play with all night. A good investment, though one of them only lasted a day, destroyed by a "how far can I stretch this thing" experiment by the oldest and his sister.Still, proves why this is more than nostalgia and still has a place in the uncle's gift arsenal.Furthermore, popular with the parents because:1) No assembly needed2) No batteries needed3) Does not make loud noises4) Hard to break (aside from the aforementioned experiment)...

The same one I had as a kid, only trouble is that many stairs are just too wide for the slinky to work on very well. My current home is only 10 years old and the slinky only goes about 3 stairs before going off course. Perhaps a larger size might work? Kids enjoyed them until they started to get too stretched.

I bought this to replace the pink and purple plastic ones I bought my Children. After looking into these stainless ones I found out the plastic ones I bought my Children are knockoffs.. also they bent easily.So far these move and work just like the ones I remember as a kid. It takes a little practice to get the right hit and momentum at the right angle to get them to Slinky down the stairs.I would recommend to buy these rather than the plastic ones.

I bought them to use on the bird feeder poles so the squirrels and chipmunks can't climb up the poles and steal the bird seed. It works well and don't worry... I throw out nuts for the chipmunks and squirrels.
