This scale is great. The numbers are easily readable, the scale is sensitive, easy to use, and the units are perfect for the intended use, which in my case, weighing out supplements. It cleans easy, just gently wipe off.

A perfect addition to my crochet making. Works to 100th of a gram which works perfectly for weighing yarn or small amounts of floral wire. The included batteries and little tray are a nice addition to get started right away and to keep everything contained while weighing. In the first week, this little gem works perfectly and is exactly as described.

I'm also very anal about my coffee as I use a french press and I like to get the ratio of water to coffee grind perfect so I was looking for a scale with .01 gram accuracy. I own other food scales with 1gram accuracy but they don't do well when measuring lighter things like chia seeds or coffee grind or anything that's very light. Even if you want just 2 grams of something, i noticed those other scales just don't work as well as i want. I end up putting more of the item before the scale moves at all. This is why i like/needed this scale. Its very sensitive so the number moves even as I add a little bit of my food item. Coffee grind is light but the scale catches every drop of it so i feel satisfied with every measurement. The one big downside of this scale though is that it only measures up to 500g. This is why you still need to pair this scale with a scale that measures a higher capacity. It's very small so its easy to store away along side my 1g precision scale. It comes with cheap AAA batteries and I like the fact that at least it uses AAA batteries since I have a lot of rechargeable ones at home.All in all, this is a pretty good scale for the price. If you feel other scales don't work well taking smaller measurements of lighter items, try this guy.

Edit: The review I wrote before still stands. This scale and other iterations with different brand names are very accurate. This one lasted a couple years. But somehow water got in last night and it is now dead. Having success with this model has led me to buy a replacement (4/28/24). One tip (that I didn't heed this time) was to cover the buttons and read-out with scotch tape. The tape makes it a bit harder to read, but the tape will prohibit water from getting into the circuitry and killing the machine. I don't remember if I mentioned it below, but in addition to measuring coffee beans I use it to measure output from my espresso machine. Another way to protect the circuitry is to use one of the plastic covers, but inverted. This helps prevent water from getting near the buttons and read-out.Continue to read original review.............................I have had three or four of these types of scales over the years. I primarily use them for accurately measuring out coffee beans that go into a grinder.Important for me? 0.01g delineation. 0.1 grams isn't what I want or need. Downside? Only 500g maximum weight that it can measure. I have a separate scale for those heavier things.What to look out for. Other than weight parameters, look at the configurations. Most are the same, with different brand stamping, some cheaper than others. Some delivered a bit quicker with some sort of minor discount attached. But for the most part, they have been identical.When dealing around water of any kind, put a piece of tape over the buttons and display to keep the water out. When I got lazy with this it wasn't very long before the scales would crap out. My last scale that I had over 2 years just did that.Shop Amazon for price on the identical but differently branded scales. You might save 30% or more just by looking around. Look at dimensions of the scales so that you know that what you buy will work in the space you're working in.These scales are cheap, not fancy. I don't recommend them for fine jewerly work. You will want something more precisely calibrated and durable. But for what I use this scale for, it works. Hopefully I'll get another couple years out of this replacement.

Perfect size for small portions.

I removed two stars from this scale because it has issues gathering an accurate weight when I'm weighing yeast (and similar items) right around the 1 gram mark (between .97 and 1.3 approximate). When weighing, I'll add a little bit at a time and it will gradually, little by little (as it's supposed to) add the total weight. I specifically look to weigh .97 grams for one specific recipe. The scale will pretty much lock in around .92/.93 when I hit that point. I'll add very little at a time, two or three more times with nothing, then suddenly it will jump to 1.2, or 1.3/1.4 (give or take). Once it suddenly jumps to around that 1.2 mark from .92 or so, I'll start to remove some in an attempt to get it to the .97 mark I'm looking for. As I slowly remove some of the product from the scale, it stays stuck on that 1.2/1.3 mark, then suddenly the scale reading will jump back down .92/.93 or less (depending on how much I have removed).I will eventually get close to that .97, or maybe even spot on, but I always wonder if its accurate, since if I move the product around on the scale ever so slightly (still keeping the product somewhat centered), the weight fluctuates quite a bit. Everything else seems to weigh accurate with no issues and I still get the jobs done, that small issue is a bit frustrating and I may get another smaller scale as a backup.

Very useful and works perfectly

Been using it for a few months and put it to the test against coins (you can research the weight of a coin) a few times and its passed these tests every time. Previous balance from a different seller started being off after 2 months of use. This one seems to last.
