High quality practice green/mat
It is always hard shopping online and a lot of times it is a leap of faith. I read the other reviews but I still didn't get a good idea of what this product is. So here's my take....It came in a plain long rectangular box. It's essentially a flat oval shaped rubber mat. Now, I do wish it had edge bumpers to keep the ball from rolling to the netherworld but then that would not be exactly a flat surface. The mat has perforations for 5 holes: 2 on one side and 3 on the other. To remove the perforated openings, I simply cut the edges where they're tethered and voila! A round hole. Trust me, it's easy to do. How do the holes fit into the scheme of things? Well, there is a small round plastic tray that fits on the underside of the mat. You then place one of the spongy balls through the flag pin as the directions will direct you to do. Then place the pin into the center of the tray. So it's a makeshift hole but it's level with the green so there is not uneven bump. It fits perfectly.Surprisingly, I thought it would take time to get the curves out of the mat coming out of the box but it was flat and didn't have curled edges - as you would see unrolling your favorite poster. In one direction, the putting surface (against the grain) is slow. It feels like a 5-6 on the Stimpmeter (estimated) - very similar to a Municipal Course green where it is like that always. The other direction is smooth as glass and I would put the pace closer to a 10 or 11 - like it felt at TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course without the undulations or the heat! The speed can be adjusted by raking but I was happy with two different speeds. Contours can be added by placing things under the mat.I had placed my mat on hard concrete in the basement. This is quite long and wide enough. The details are well planned and it feels like a well made practice green. Your only other alternatives are going much further up in price for larger greens but that requires more space or significantly more money. It gives me enough variety and versatility to keep me engaged for the winter until it's time to play real golf. Putting is one of those things that you lose the feel for doing unless you do it a lot and often. This beats those limited use putting tracks with automatic ball returns which is not as natural as putting to two different holes. Although with the mat size, I prefer to practice with one ball.I'm very happy with my purchase. Two thumbs up!

Works great outdoors
I bought this specifically to putt outdoors, and it works great. I've had it a few weeks, and can report so far it has handled the So Cal summer weather no problem. Before I putt I just use a broom to sweep away the leaves, etc. that landed on it, and I'm happy to say it cleans up quick and easy. The cups and plastic insert did take some getting used to, but not much. I found that it rolls well, with no bumps or material issues that would affect the putt.A suggestion, don't open up all 5 holes right away. Take your time and see what holes would work best for you. For me, I'm a lefty, so I only opened up 3 holes. I wanted to make sure i could putt the length of the mat both ways, and also have several holes i can practice my 4' putts with. If i had opened up the hole in the middle of the mat that would have been in the way of another hole.I put the mat close to my house, so in the morning I've noticed some water dripped off my roof and onto the mat in the same place. It started to create a water stain, but hopefully I caught it in enough time that it won't permanently stain. I just roll the mat up at night so it won't get anymore water.

Okay for short put practice
The mat unfolded smooth and performed as advertised on YouTube. I placed it on berber carpet and the speed of the green was pretty fast. Greens in my area are not nearly that fast, so I found myself practicing for something I don't normally encounter. Obviously, it helps on practicing directional control.

Great putting surface.
We've had this mat for about a year and love it. It's on the hard wood floor in our entryway, and it looks great. We leave a putter and a few balls out all the time so we hit several practice shots every day. We don't usually bother to pick it up when guests come over and everyone has a great time with it. The ball rolls perfectly, and if we do happen to roll up the mat and put it away, it flattens out immediately. Highly recommended.

Rolls well.
Very realistic, good product, from someone who's been playing for 40 years, this works quite well.

Great practice green.
I just received this yesterday I can honestly say that it will serve it's purpose more than beautifully. This practice green is one of the best manufactured products I've come across in years. One of the best things is unlike cheaper practice putting greens it doesn't roll up with the green facing up and it lays flat easy.Since the cups are not that deep you can't ram the put at the flag stick it will help to hit the ball so it sneaks in like Harvey Penick said like a mouse.

Five hole practice green
For the price it works great and a small piece of cardboard underneath makes a break that’s hard to detect

Well designed putting green for indoors practice
He love it.... Gift for son who loves to practice putting indoors. I am sure this will save the carpet at their home. It appears to be well made and just the perfect texture (for lack of a better word that described grass etc)
