Fantastic Product, worth every penny.
I have a number of these now and they fit right into my overall water storage plan. I first encountered these when I was in the Army and I was always very impressed with them. They are extremely durable, easy to clean and can be organized in a small foot print. In my attached picture, you can see I have four of them in an old kids wagon, great for mobility. I tag them all with date filled, which really helps with rotation. (The tags I got here on Amazon also)When filled they are heavy, but still easy to move around for medium too large individuals, smaller folks may have trouble with the weight, but that applies to Water, Regardless of what containers it is in.

Fantastic for Water Storage
There are a few reasons why this worked so well on a camping trip:1. DimensionsOther water containers we've used are big giant cubes and are hard to carry and work with. The Scepter is Slim and tall (comparatively) which makes it easier to carry around without it banging into your legs like the cube-shaped ones. It's also easier to pour from with it being tall and having the air-bleed valve in a convenient spot.2. DurabilityBuilt like a tank. Enough said.3. No smellOurs didn't have a smell. Others have reported a smell, but ours didn't have one. Also it's BPA free.Downsides1. The caps get in the way when pouring. Both the small and big. You have to hold them out of the way or else they swing down into the stream of water. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.All in all, a really, really solid storage can. Worth every penny.

Sturdy
Sturdy and very similar (if not the same) as what I used in the military. Good quality.

Heavy Duty - Great Quality
I bought three of these to take on a cross-country trip. My wife and I only drink our well water thatโs gone through a filter an alkaline machine. These weigh around 45 pounds when full, will need some muscle for loading and unloading. The small poor cap along with the vent work very well when filling our gallon jugs to keep in the cab traveling or inside when we stay somewhere. Itโs nice having these jugs available for drinking water in an emergency. When they first arrived, there was a heavy plastic odor. I washed out thoroughly with dish soap and let air dry for a couple of days. No more odor and the taste of water is perfect. Very pleased with this product.

Nice water container for camping trips but not leak proof
Purchased this for a long term camping trip and while the size / quality is really nice for $50 I expected to be fully leak proof compared to the cheaper options that are half the price at Walmart. It tipped over in my trunk at one point and despite being fully cranked down as far as my hands could crank it, it leaked everywhere in my trunk.

Great for water storage in case of emergency/prepping.
This can is super durable. It takes extreme heat and cold very well without any damage. After all this is the EXACT SAME water can that is used by the US and Canadian Armed Forces to get their drinking water from (in addition to the water trucks obviously). I've used these in the toughest environments and can tell you they held up extremely well. So when I saw this can on Amazon while looking for water storage options in case my family and I had to leave our home for a while (the ones in our home aren't portable) I knew this would be perfect. I ordered one just to make sure it was the real deal and not a "blemish" or knockoff.... and it was 100% the real deal. So for the price I will be getting one or two more to make sure we have plenty of water for my family for a couple days. I will let you know they will have a funky oder when when you get them. Don't worry, that odor is not a harmful chemical, but rather is left over from the manufacturing process. To get rid of the odor do as follows: 1. fill the can with 2.5 gallons of water. 2. put 2.5 Teaspoons of bleach (do NOT use tabespoons) 3. put 1.5 tablespoons of white vinegar inside. Seal the can and shake up and down, side to side, turn it upside down and shake it too. Drain the can. then fill with 2 gallons of water and shake again in the same manner. Empty the can and allow to air dry with can upside down so water can run out (you'll need something to help hold the lid wide open). After that you will notice the odor is gone and it's ready to rock and roll. just remember for long term storage you want to use the water and fill with fresh every 4-6 months (if stabilized with 1/8 teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water...this is the safe level to make water safe to drink and permit long term storage per numerous sources including the CDC). The shipper got this out blazing fast and it arrived a day early so I have no complaints there either.

Tough Water Cans!
I was using the same Blue plastic 7 gallon water jugs that everyone else uses. They're cheap and fairly durable too. But they are shorter and more square than the Scepter system. So if your truck bed space is at a premium, you can fit TWO Scepter water cans in the same area that the big blue 7gal jugs take up. So you get an addition 3 gallons of water in the same area in your truck bed. I went with the green color because at the time it was about $10 cheaper for the same thing, but not that cool tactical (LoL) Flat Dark Earth color.

Some of the best money I've ever spent
I started using them in the Canadian military and it was great to find them for sale because I know their toughness. I've now been using my own two Scepter water jerrys for over 6 years now that I've ordered from Amazon, consistently and regularly, in the wild filling them with spring water from the mountains and natual artesian wells, getting them chucked in the back of a truck or aircraft and transported long distances, and they've held up superbly. This is honestly some of the best money I've ever spent.
