The front has a pocket and places for pens and highlighters. I use the pocket for the small journals you can get in 3 Our Daily Bread devotionals as well. This is by far my favorite cover ever! It's a great deal for the price. So far it's held up well I have been using it for about 6 months and it's still looking like new. **Q: Will this fit a MacArthur study Bible?** A: I have a Beautiful Word Bible (large print) and it fits (with notebook and pens inside as well) **Q: Will it fit a book size 5.5 x 0.75 x 8 inches** A: I don’t know for sure.
