A month or so after my 6 month cleaning at the dentist, I noticed some tartar on my front tooth. I am a teeth cleaning freak and it bothered me! I couldn't remove it with floss and came to the almighty Amazon for some help. I found this dental pick set and decided to order it since the price was cheap. I received the kit, cleaned the tools and very carefully took a scrap between my teeth. The tartar came off after a few attempts. I am excited I can work on my teeth between cleanings now! I haven't ventured into the back of my mouth using the mouth mirror, but this works great for the front teeth I can see in the bathroom mirror!

This product is very effective. Honestly, it grossed me out every day during the first week of use. It gets a LOT off. I used to just use my toothbrush, but I don't think it got off half the amount of crud this did.My husband's breath bothered me even after brushing, but now that he tongue scrapes his breath is super fresh. My mouth doesn't feel clean now without this. Bonus points for it being easy to clean and not being plastic.

While the product I would give 5 stars for price and value appearance wise for being premium I am not sure how to rate the use. I gave it four stars seeing as it possibly "could" work. The tools are certainly sharp enough and quality is good. (Yes, the mirror fogs up but not too bad - really what do you expect) I tried it with tough plaque on my back molars with braces but nothing happened. All it did was make noises that made me more afraid that I was actually damaging my teeth. I attempted each tool and different ways and even with different teeth. All it did was take off easy plaque that I could have gotten off with floss. All in all, I do take care of my teeth so I don't have excess need for these tools and that might be the reason why it really does nothing for me - but the reason I bought it was I was feeling visible "fur" under a bracket. I still feel that way after attempting to loosen some of the grime that might be over there. I am glad I didn't spend a lot of money because I am really curious to see if it actually would ever work... Would have been nice to describe which tool we should use and why... clearly if we are buying this product we aren't dental students with any previous knowledge... I left with sore teeth, less money and one accidental bloody gum. 5 stars for being able to be a lethal weapon in a house invasion.

Works great. Chips off tarter and plaque. If I had the dentist's polishing device, it would be like a regular cleaning! I didn't realize that there were little clear plastic protectors for each tip, either they fell off in transit or were just placed in the case - seems like a good idea to keep them on, I nearly lost them when opening the case. I can imagine that this could hurt enamel if used too often, but once every month or so it's a great in-between maintenance routine.

If you're like me and aren't super frequent with flossing, you'll probably like this. I use it mainly for in between my front bottom teeth. If I go to floss and I notice a spot when the floss seems to jump I now its time to pull out these bad boys. I do a quick swipe between the teeth and that usually does it. The floss will glide smoothly between my teeth once again.

This didn't do much in terms of removing bacteria or really much on my tongue.

You get what you pay for. This is a grade of steel that doesn't seem to have been hardened or the alloy is soft. The tips bent very easily and won't hold up to much more than being used as a toothpick to retrieve popcorn from a food trap.

This is a very nice little kit. It is well packaged and seems very hygienic. The tips of the individual tools were even protected by plastic. Many middle aged women, of which I am one, often gave a problem with plaque build up on the lowers front teeth. These tools are helping me to remove a lot of this plaque between dentist visits. I like mine so much that I am buying a kit for my friend.
