Love love love this thing
Love love love this thing. My CD player was completely useless until I slipped this into it. I don't like the ones that suction to the dashboard or windshield. They sometimes fall off while I'm driving and always leave behind a mark. I started using the Roadster mats, but after a few years, the first one started melting, which was fine - I'd used it for a few years and it had cost only a few dollars. The replacement was less effective, and my phone kept falling off anytime I made a turn or stopped short a little. This holds it very securely, and even better, I can adjust the angle. Perfect! Only minor issue is getting used to the tiny space it takes up at the top of my video for the backup camera. It doesn't obscure the view but its still a visual adjustment I need to make. Probably only an issue for me - kind of like needing to adjust your eyes when walking into a dark room coming from the outside.

This is great, this little purchase has made such a difference in how I can see and use my phone in the car. Before this, I was using the cupholder as my phone holder. It was cumbersome, blocked the bottom part of my phone, and was annoying. I also really like how this is not mounted on the dash, this looks much cleaner mounted in the cd player slot. I really cannot go back to using the cupholder for my phone after this. Also this is sturdy! and also easy to slide my phone into the holder quickly and easily!

Works for 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata.
Works perfectly fine in my 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata, although a little short regarding the depth inside the CD slot. When fully secured, I can still pull it out of the CD slot without much force, however, it has never come out on its own.I used to use a magnetic CD mount. Let me tell you...in a sports car, that was not such a great idea. The phone would shake quite a bit before falling off when having any little bit of fun. In a way, this mount let me have my cake and eat it too.Definitely would recommend.

Best cell phone holder I've ever bought.
I've tried several types of cell phone holders, and this one is just the perfect solution for me. It locks in place with only one simple step. The holder expands just enough to fit my Samsung Note 3 smartphone; and, best of all, the elevated design keeps the phone away from my audio equipment display and controls.

Great bracket. Simple and strong.
This is a great solution for a phone mount and the product is simple and well executed. And the CD player mount is in the perfect ergonomic position. The spring and bracket really do their job. Such a nice experience after years of disappointment with Schoche, and other brackets that attach with suction or to the air vent - all of which underperformed before they broke. It is easy to install, easy to use and feels heavy duty and well made. My only suggestion would be a way to tighten the vertical pivot arm in place. Not that big ofa deal once you get used to it but it would be a nice addition. Also... Don't lose track of the little pads to help fill the wider slot in some CD players. You might need them even after you've decided you don't.

Caution if using with Apple Battery Pack Case.
Received mine today, 02-17-2016. Well made product. Two suggestions of note:1. I wish the pivoting ball/socket provided a bit more range of adjustments.2. I have the iPhone6 with the Apple Battery Pack. This product is not the best fit with the Battery Pack. The side "grippers" are not long enough, deep enough, to securely hold the phone with Battery Pack attached. My fear is that with the vibration of the road, the phone will fall out. I wish the grippers were longer/deeper. But I'm sure this product was designed before the Apple Battery Pack.

Mounts in the perfect location in my car
I like how this holder doesn't have to mount to the windshield, slide on the dash, or hook to a vent only to get too cool or hot. Attaching to the CD Player puts it in the perfect location. I use it to secure my iPhone 6 Plus and have had no issues. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Smartphone car mount holder
Fits perfectly into my CD holder without any adjusting, but tabs for adjusting thickness were available if I had needed them. Camera turns as described and I can see it very well while driving
