Bought this after the gas was shut off to our apartment when a leak was detected outside. Filled a 5 gal bucket with water in the tub and put this in and set the timer for 25 minutes. It auto shuts off so it didn't get too hot and the water was perfect shower temp. Used a battery camping shower with a suction cup wall mount for the shower head and had nice hot shower. They couldn't seem to find the leak so 2 of us used this setup for many months and never had an issue with it. Great product!

I have exceptional bone and cartilage disease. Losing my last hot tub was rough: it really is the therapy free of substance. 5 yrs later, and a move, I get another hot tub, I would’ve kept the old knowing this product existed. By regulating the temp with this product, I saved and cleaned my existing heat element and pump. With this product, I will look for tubs and small pools: the heat and simplicity value is a fantastic prologue to maintaining functional heated-water therapy.

This is inexpensive and works ok, albeit slowly, to hear a small pool. It's kind of oddly designed, and the unintuitive timer controls aren't helped by the badly written and unclear instructions. Few things: 1) the instructions say it's powered immediately after power on, but it seems to require the timer to be activated first. 2) the timer controls are weird - there are +/- buttons, but you have to hold down one button to go into "edit mode", then change each digit of the timer. This wasn't super obvious to me, and the instructions aren't clear. As a result, the first few times I used it, I couldn't change the timer from the default 21 minutes, which isn't enough time to heat anything except maybe a tiny container of water. 3) the status LED is hard to see while submerged, and since pulling it out of the water is ill advised, it can be hard to be sure if it's powered / working.

I’m living off grid and this heats my water for washing dishes showers and clothes. Great deal great buy and great product

Have a "dry cabin" so no running water in the house or water heater for that matter. Had an older model that worked *fine* but the cord got hot and melted and it heated my bath water very slowly. Have used this one a few times now and i can say its loads better than the older models. The directions were straight forward and setting the timer is super simple. I like that it beeps when its time is up. It also has a glowing red light to indicate when its heating too. And so far ive found that heating my clawfoot tub takes only a little over an hour, whereas the older one (that melted the cord) took nearly 3 hours to do the same. Huge improvements have been made.
