Should I put moisturizer after using the mask and applying toner?

I would recommend putting serum/moisturizer/skin care before applying the mask because the mask would help the skin absorb the products. The mask acts as a skin seal that traps the moister and tightens pores.

It didn't really peel off like rubber for me but was much more flaky and dry than i expected. applied a thick layer. any idea what i did wrong?

This is an alginate mask, not a rubber mask, so it's not going to come off as one whole solid piece. For sure, if you leave it on too long, it's going to turn hard and flaky, or if you don't slather it on thick enough in some areas, it's going to get hard and flaky off. Most of the time I can peel it off in big chunks, but not as one whole big piece either.
