Exactly what I was looking for
I wanted a vibrant purple hair color that was inexpensive, semi-permanent, and wouldn’t be difficult to remove when I wanted to go back to brown. This color depositing mask was perfect. I relied a LOT on reviews when deciding what to use, so I will pay that back by being extremely specific with what I did. I washed (just shampoo, no conditioner) and dried my hair, put Vaseline around my hairline, used gloves to apply 1 and 1/4 tubs of product to coat all my (long) hair section by section, waited 20 minutes, and then rinsed it out with warm water. Then I used the Ion color defense after-color sealer (also from Amazon) and rinsed that with cold water. After that, I only washed my hair with cold water (and only every few days) and as you can see from the pictures it came out really vibrant and lasted a REALLY long time. I thought it would wash out after 2 weeks but it’s been almost a month and I only just had to touch up the color with the Ovtertone color conditioner in Royal Plum yesterday because it was starting to fade. It did stain my shower and any white towels I had so make sure to use black towels and be prepared to deal with a purple shower. My hands/hairbrush/clothing necklines also would get some dye transferred onto them but as I washed my hair more this happened less. Does not happen at all with the color conditioner even though I just applied that yesterday. I also used a bonnet to avoid transfer onto my pillowcases but that’s not necessary anymore. The mask smells good and left my hair very soft. Super happy with this purchase, it was exactly what I wanted. However, if your hair is super dark, this probably wont show up. As you can see from the pics, the purple only really stuck to the pieces of my hair that were highlighted. The unbleached dark parts of my hair picked up a bit of a purple tone at first (much more visible in the sun) but that was gone after only a couple washes. Unless you have highlights or your hair is a medium brown or lighter, this probably wont show up very well. Before and after pics + pics after each wash attached

Best choice for white hair
★★★★★ Amazing Color Refresh and Hair Care Treatment I’m really impressed with this color depositing hair mask! It refreshes my hair color beautifully while leaving my hair feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated. The formula is easy to apply and helps bring back vibrancy between salon visits. I love that it works as both a color booster and a conditioning treatment. My hair feels healthier, looks shinier, and the color payoff is beautiful. It’s also easy to use at home and saves time and money compared to frequent salon appointments. Overall, this is a great product for anyone wanting to maintain or refresh their hair color while giving their hair extra moisture and care. I would definitely recommend it!

Twighlight Titanium is not Extreme Silver
TWIGHLIGHT TITANIUM IS NOT EXTREME SILVER - IT IS A DIFFERENT PRODUCT I have used Overtone Extreme Silver for several years. LOVED the product, the color and the wonderful mint smell. Also, loved the vegan and ethical approach of the privately owned company, and the story of the founders - 2 girls in their 20s building a company out of sheer gusto and ingenuity - so I stocked up on the product to support their vision. When my supplies started to dwindle I tried to purchase more but couldn't find it online. Then, I started getting bombarded with messages and videos on social media stating it was renamed " Twighlight Titanium". (Meaning the company is clearly buying personal information). I decided to purchase 2 batches (at a notably higher price than Extreme Silver) because my supply of Extreme Silver was running short. When I received the Twighlight Titanium I still had some Extreme Silver left, so decided to use that on one side of my head then add the Twighlight Titanium on to the other side. Hey, same product, right? BIG MISTAKE. Extreme Silver is purple in the jar, smells like mint and makes my hair shiny and soft. Twighlight Titanium is dark blue in the jar, smells like moldy bread, and left my hair dull and dry. My scalp was very itchy after use. It acts like a toner, there was no color change, just dulled and dried my hair. The label is so tiny I had to get a magnifier to read the ingredients. Guess what - harsh chemicals are now included. I decided to check the company to find out why the vegan, ethical stance changed. And you guessed it- PRIVATE EQUITY took over. 2 tech bros got involved, deposed the founders and put a not-for-profit (a.k.a tax dodging) guru in as the new President. Like so many great start-ups and family owned companies running ethical, profitable businesses, Private Equity has ruined Overtone. Why pretend the products are the same? Why pretend they are vegan and chemical free? Deceptive advertising is not going to earn you repeat customers. I might have been tempted to purchase if you had been honest about discontinuing a line and advising the ingredients now include some chemicals. Saying the two are the same is such a typical Private Equity lie.

Excellent Colors, Easy to Use, Quick Fade but little Damage
Overtone never disappoints. I love this product and have been using it for years. Initially when starting there will be some trial and error in usage but you adapt to it. I usually use some vaseline around the hairline, wear think latex/plastic gloves, and an old shirt. I think the one struggle with overtone is that it is very thick so sometimes I drop a bit after putting it in my hair - but I'm not professional, I'm taking globs in my hands and rubbing it through best I can. I just don't have the patience for the little brushes and doing each strand etc. But despite that it always turns out beautifully and I get compliments. My hair never feels damaged afterwards, at least nothing that a bit of conditioner can't fix. The initial color does fade pretty fast, in fact I prefer the look after 2-3 washes, but then the color lingers in your hair for months. Usually this means I have to color over it with another more "natural" color if I want it to look good. Like blue eventually becomes greenish gray in my dark blond hair. Purple looks better even months later.

pretty much just like pictured, for 3 days. Very FUN!
I got the 8oz Espresso brown conditioner. First 2 pictures are my natural hair (I did not bleach or change it before adding the conditioner, so what you see is dye over that exact color.) The 2nd two pics are the day after I dyed it. The 3rd two pics are 7 days after I dyed it. I did two pics each for different lighting. In the last two pics you can see that it fades reddish, but in bluer lighting it looked chocolate brown. This was so fun to test out dark hair on me. It lasted as that gorgeous rich dark color (see pics 3&4) for about 3 days if I'm being generous, and I don't wash my hair every day. I was it every other day at most. I have fine hair and its about shoulder length, I was able to dye my hair with this stuff twice. It feels almost like a thin clay going on, and has a strong smell. MY HAIR WAS SO THICK, SOFT, AND BOUNCY THE DAY AFTER DYEING IT!!!! IT WAS AWESOME! I got tons of compliments, lots of people said my hair looked much thicker. Also, if it gets on your skin it'll dye it purple for a day lol. I dyed my eyebrows too and it did great, just keep it off of skin you don't want to look like is part of you eyebrow. This stuff definitely has more of a reddish tint so expect it to fade kinda red. My hair naturally has a TINY bit of red in it if ANY. It's naturally very much a true dirty blonde color. Its worth it for the money if you're getting it to TRY a color or use for a cosplay/costume. but it does not last as the color advertised for very long. I had red hair for like a month tho after lol. So it stayed like the last two pics for a whileee. and my hair is very porous and has a history of holding onto temporary dyes for much longer than they say it will. took down one star just bc it didn't last long enough for me, but it was still a very fun experience!

Not what I expected
This came out more red than pink for me, and my hair was horribly tangled after using it. It deposits plenty of color, but it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting.

Saved by the Royal Plum: A Literal Lifesaver!
I recently got my hair professionally colored a gorgeous black with a deep plum ombré. Literally days later, I did an underwater photo shoot, and the chlorinated water completely stripped out all the purple tones, leaving my ends a brassy, tragic copper! In a total panic, I called my hairstylist to get back in her chair. Instead of making me spend more money, she gave me the ultimate holy grail tip to order a color, depositing conditioner and mask and sent me the link. I applied it all over and left it on for about 30 minutes. When I washed it out, I was absolutely blown away. My ends were instantly restored to the rich, deep plum they originally were, and the top of my hair looked beautifully, seamlessly black again. It completely saved my look! Pro-Tips for First-Timers: - Wear gloves! This stuff is highly pigmented and will* stain your hands. - Clean as you go: Keep some soap handy to wipe down your sink and shower immediately if you drop any product. Taking those extra precautions is 100% worth it. I typically only get my hair professionally colored once every three months, and now I have total peace of mind knowing I can easily maintain this vibrant color at home until my next appointment. If you have purple tones to maintain, do yourself a favor and buy this immediately!

Great color for eliminating red and brassy undertones in brown dyed hair
Mushroom is a new color mask---at least to me. All the other brown tones had too much red for my hair. I decided to try the mushroom, not sure how light it would be. Turns out it's perfect for my medium brown hair. i used it over a fading 'cool, medium brown dye' that was fading into red after 3 weeks. Not wanting to dye my hair again so soon, i put this mushroom brown mask on dry hair and left on for 35 minutes. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the results. It's a nice, cool medium brown color and even did a good job covering my partially gray roots. It's been 8 days now and the color has lasted --- some fading but not to red. My plan is to retreat in the next couple days. As always, the overtone masks leave hair in great condition, but with body. As someone with baby fine hair, conditioners tend to flatten my hair out.
