Good pressure for a 190 GPH pump. It actually pumps 93 GPH at 5 feet of head pressure vs 80 GPH for the larger mag 2. Spears, Lasko Watts, and Charlotte pipe all make fittings to increase the inflow and outflow to 1/2" or 3/4" both threaded and barb fittings which allows lots of different pipe connections. There is a neat pond filter that mates with this pump. Replacement impellers are half the price of the pump so protect the pump impeller with a sponge pre-filter to keep the impeller running longer between cleanings. Not the tiny pre-filter that comes with the pump, but a dedicated pre-filter like those from ATI. Those filters come with attachments to fit most pumps and greatly extend the time between cleanings and keep debris out of the impeller area which helps your pump last longer. This pump also comes with a 5 year warranty which is better than most small pumps out there. I read all the reviews on this pump and realized that many don't know how to maintain a pump or understand what a pump can or cannot do. Take a little time to understand head pressure and how to correctly take apart, clean and put back together a pump and for the love of cheese pizza, don't let it freeze while submerged. Do that correctly and this pump can last beyond the warranty period.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, I'm the fool!!
This is the second pump I bought from Danner and had identical problems with both. I am mechanical, so I attempted to repair the first pump which was about 1 year old. The magnetic core was frozen within the electromagnetic part of the motor, surrounding it, but after freeing it, realized it was obviously dead, so I thought it was a fluke, so I bought a second one, which failed and look fine after opening it, but again DEAD.It seems to be well made, but develops a buzz and no matter what I did to service it, failed after less than a year of service in a fountain. I used it as an outboard pump, not submersed and well protected. I live in SOCAL, so it had the best of conditions to function in. I am now looking for another brand to try a third time to enjoy my water feature. I don't advise anyone to purchase this pump.
