This is a wonderful book. The author leads you through her ordeal, which includes diagnosis, bilateral mastectomies, chemotherapy, radiation, and reconstruction while somehow managing to give just the right amount of detail interspersed with a light but much needed humor. Her spirit comes through the pages as we get to know the vital parts of her life--family, friends, and faith. This book is not just for those with breast cancer but for anyone looking for inspiration.

This is a tough topic to tackle but the author does it with frankness and just the right touch of humor (especially with her chapter headings!). If someone you love is battling cancer ... or any severe illness, this book will give you a whole new perspective of what their walk may be like, along with some excellent pointers as to what may help them along the way. If you are the one in the middle of this journey, this book will definitely inform, as well as give you the strength to stay the course, to listen to your inner voice and follow the wisdom we all have within ... if we would just take some time to be still and hear it.

I couldn't wait, and so I downloaded the kindle version and read it out loud to my family on our road trip home from California. It was such an amazing recount of the author's journey of cancer from the day she found out to the triumphant years following. This real life story had my family crying, laughing and truly engulfed by her story. This is not just a book for women or those affected by cancer, but for anyone who could use an uplifting, easy read that is not only educating but pretty darn funny too. She really does know how to turn lemons into lemonade!

Awesome book. Shed alot of insight on things that I'm about to encounter.

I just finished this book today. Tamara does a wonderful job of writing a book full of truth, hope and perseverance. There were times of laughter and times of tears, as I walked through her cancer battle with her. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who has someone they love in the cancer fight, or if they are personally in the process. I love the way she subtly injects God and faith into her book. A wonderful gift to help someone else, or to understand the trials faced by a loved one.

This was a very uplifting book of a wonderful woman's journey into uncharted territory. Tammy shares her struggle with humor, insight and it feels like when she is writing that she is right there with you having a conversation. I recommend this book for everyone, men and woman, whether struggling with cancer or some of life's other challenges. I believe that if someone does have breast cancer that this book could be very helpful as well - since the writer learned through having experienced cancer and having survived. She may offer insights that can make the process a little less painful. Also helpful for people who want to know what they can do to help there friends who are having health challenges. I really enjoyed the book and looked forward to picking it up and continuing the read and did not want to put it down!

A wonderful read from a sweet childhood friend. The writing style is as though we are sitting across the brunch table, sharing scones and life stories. Highly recommend this book to anyone with any experience with breast cancer. Friends and family are hugely impacted by this disease. I have been reading this with laughter and tears. It amazes me how such a quick easy read can creates such a rich connection. The authors wit, strength and sassiness lead us through the journey of breast cancer, laughing most of the way. Her themes of friendship, family and faith are inspiring. This book discusses some of the many medical choices and emotional needs of the woman, also the needs of family and friends. I look forward to reading about the next mountain this author will climb and conquer.
