Petmate Booda Round Edge Litter Scoop

Newest review 12/7/21:I've had three of these. They do eventually break, but overall, they're the best scoop available for round litter boxes. For people who are complaining about the large holes... Actually, this thing is pretty well thought out. Smaller holes are at the back of the scoop, near the handle. If you tilt the scoop up/back while scooping, the smaller holes will catch the smaller bits. Because I forgive the eventual breakage, I am changing my review from 4 to 5 stars.Initial review: Aug 26 2019. I have the round litter pan that goes in the litter box with the fake plant. I needed a round scoop. This scoop is not exactly round but it does a pretty good job. It lasted 7 months before it broke under normal use (I docked one star for this). A few of the grids/mesh broke and left a hole in the scoop that the poop/litter chunks now fall through. Also the mesh holes are a bit large so it doesn’t pick up the really small pieces. For the price, it’s a great deal overall and I do recommend it.

For the life of me, I don't understand why Amazon doesn't officially carry this. Chewy, Petsmart, Petco etc. don't even have it. Yet this scoop is a godsend to anyone with oval-shaped, curved litterboxes. I have six of those, from three different manufacturers, and their high sides keep the sprayed pee inside - but it's all but impossible to clean them with a straight-edge scoop. This one is unique in shape, strongly built, comfortable to use. It works fine in square, flat-bottomed boxes too. I've bought two already so I don't have to remember to carry one between floors. There's nothing else out there that compares - I hope they never stop making these!

Worked Perfectly for my needs!(Damage in picture didn’t happen till 1.5 years after purchase and beginning of use)Purchased for use with an Igloo shaped cat box. Works really well for all the curves and edges.Yes my picture shows the damage it eventually accrued. HOWEVER, it took a solid 1.5 Years of use for this damage to happen.Considering how inexpensive it is, Very Good purchase.DOWN SIDE: Wish the holes were smaller, as lots of loose dirty litter bits left that must be sifted out with another scoop with smaller holes.Overall, I’ve loved it more than any scoop used in the past. I’ve been scooping litter boxes for 30+ years, so I have a good idea what I’m talking about. 😁

large and very sturdy. Works well in corners and in round cat boxes. the only problem is the slats are rather wide apart, so I kept my old nonrounded scooper and use it for the final scoop. they both fit into my old container, but it doesn't close all the way. also, would like the price to be a bit less. don't know how it compares to Petmate's rounded scoop for $8, when you include the shipping cost. but this definitely won't break & and keeps me from scratching the litter box, which seems to wear them out, & also from breaking the clumps apart when cleaning. I use clumping litter.after using this for a while I like it more and more. One side has is gradually rounded, and the other side is sharply rounded, making it good for both corners and round cat boxes. Especially good for cats with elevator butt, who spray instead of peeing in a nice round clump. at least its inside the litter box! And yes, he's been to the vet and is on a special urine diet. hope this helps. I paid $13 for mine, and it was worth it.

This is the best litter scoooper ever and I've used a few! It gets into corners easily, is large enough to clean out a lot in a single scoop and the loose sand falls out quickly. I love this scoop! After I tried it, I ordered 2 more for my other little boxes. It makes cleaning a litter box so much easier. Try it and you'll never use another.

Great design in that it is rounded and still comes to a kind of point on one side. This helps with getting into every kind of corner from very rounded to a tight 90 degree corner. Also great is that it is not symmetrical. This actually helps to get the scooping edge in the right position in different areas of the litter box with much less contorting your hand and wrist. The deep rounded back section helps hold and sift more litter per scoop. One of the sturdiest plastic scoops I've seen, with a solid handle and strong connection to the scoop. The handle is comfortable in the hand. This scoop feels very natural to use.I've tried many over the years and this one is my favorite.

This scooper is a game changer with a rounded litter box. Very easy to scoop with and lightweight. It seems to be the expected level of quality and durability for the price.When I was reading reviews, someone wrote a heated piece about the sticker placement, and I thought they were just being whiny. No, turns out the stickers really are placed in the worst possible spots. They do not peel off easily at all. It took me an inordinate amount of time to peel off all the pieces and to get all of the goop off with Goo Gone. The stickers need to be better quality (e.g. they peel off all in one go) or the stickers shouldn't be placed on the scoop.I also really wish the holes were a little smaller. They catch all the big stuff but miss plenty of of the bitty clumps (because no litter is perfectly clumping). I actually do my first round of scooping with this scoop, and then a second round with my other scoop to catch all the little clumps that get missed.
