3M adhesive pads not working
So far I installed 3 RibPorts on inflatable PVC boat using 3M adhesive pads. I followed all recommendations but all RibPorts started lifting up around the edges. It’s my fault. I should install only one RibPort and see how everything will go. So, if someone is going to buy RibPorts, probably needs to use a glue and don’t rely on adhesive pads.———-....a few months later I removed all three installed ribports because the provided glue pads don’t do a good job. Removing pads is easy. Just apply a heat gun and pull pads off. I’m looking for a proper 2-parts glue for my inflatable boat. The ribpors are still in good condition.———I contacted a Railblaza customer service and they suggested to apply a Primer94 before applying pads so I did it but with the same result.So, don’t rely on adhesive pads If you want to use rib ports on inflatable boat. Just use a 2-part glue system.
