Awesome quality! Will stick forever with some easy modifications!
High quality and adhesion! This tape would work just fine without any modifications if you dont have animals or kids and proper surface prep. However, I have 2 giant breed dogs, 3 cats and 2 young kids. Our couch has seen better days, also surviving 3 moves. I sew in spare time with a vinyl and leather and can tell you this tape is good for the price and being made for everyday homes. You will be hard pressed to find something that survives an active household without extra support. Here's what I did: I cut away as much of the frayed and torn edges as possible then wiped the are with rubbing alcohol (ONLY do this for the areas where the tape will go. You do not want to ruin the good parts of your vinyl or leather.) I then scored the tape down the middle and adhered one side a time when doing vertical strips. I added a small amount of super glue to the corners and top edges to give it extra stability before pushing all the way down. Make sure all edges are smoothed down well before moving on to the next area.

A few tips!
Product worked better than expected because I forgot to do somethingโฆ. Tip 1: Product says to sand down or scrape the old material. I forgot and started applying it. However, I noticed that adhesion to the previous material was AMAZINGLY strong, but to the fabric under the old material, it did not stick at all. So, I kept going anyway. I have a few bumps from where you can see I didnโt scrape the stuff off. So on my second chair, I just pulled off pieces that were peeling so the surface was smoother, but still did not scrape everything off. Second chair worked great! Tip 2: with the backing on it, I measured and cut. Then as I was applying I realized that the material was actually a little stretchy, which is super great because I could get a nice fit. So, leave a little room when you measure to allow for stretching. Not a lot, but maybe 1/2 inch. Tip 3: A second person is helpful when applying a large strip. Haha. Unless you want to be like me and get you hair stuck on the adhesion and drop and restick the sticky sideโฆ. So yeah. I figured it out, but it is a two person job. Side notes: It smelled like a new product. Nothing crazy though. And I am sensitive to smells. So maybe some come stronger scented than others, but I think faux leather stinks in general. I have whiter chairs than the color offered, but I ultimately decided I didnโt care that much because I have kids at home anyway. It ended up matching pretty good! So if you have white-white fabric, this is very much beige. The only edges not staying down as well are areas where the original faux fabric had peeled away and the adhesion didnโt stick as well to the cushion under the old fabric. So, there you have it.

Worked perfectly
I donโt really write reviews normally, but I was compelled because this product is so simple and it turned something. Itโs just terrible into something. Thatโs quite nice. And crowded, itโs vinyl furniture, rightโฆ So weโre not talking high-end. Put man is this a good solution. We have a massage chair where the vinyl/clutter is totally flaking in so many places. The stuff, was ridiculously easy to apply and quite frankly it looks great! Stuff not perfect, but from a distance, you canโt tell it all ended up close you can tell, but it doesnโt really matter. I couldnโt be happier. This was the perfect low cost and effective solution to my dirty, grungy, flaking pleather.

Extremely difficult to work with.
Almost impossible to work with. It is very sticky and the paper backing tears easily. However, it is the best alternative I have found to fix a torn leather sofa. It isnโt perfect but it does an okay job.

Works great
This has really worked well for us. Our cat has demolished the vinyl along the bottom of our furniture. This is exactly the same color and sticks very well. Just make sure you wipe down really well before applying

It works, but be careful choosing the right color
The repair tape has a nice texture and is easy to apply. However, the adhesive could be better. My main concern is the color. I bought the dark brown and it doesn't match well. The repaired area stands out as a slightly different color than the original surrounding leather. It's not the fault of the manufacturer. It's due to the multiple variations of color in general. For example, there are numerous shades of black, white, tan, brown, etc. So just be aware that the tape may not match your color exactly.
