Grandma

Incredible, heart felt, very real life for a lot of female strong roled families. Lilly Tomlin is as wonderful and serious as well as funny. Julia, (from Ozark) was perfect for the role of the granddaughter and the two together made a day of what id truly believe to have been someones real life story.For the haters, open your mind, feel what its like to be a female in all the ranges these 3 women are, understand each ones position. Dont focus on the mission of the day, focus on the beginning, how it happened, how they got about, and how they fought and how they came together when they really should've for each other. Get over yourselves of you have an issue with the mission of the day. Because its not a lie, its real and it happens to someone we all know and love. And it is something they will never forget and their choice.

To echo those others who seem to have a sense of taste somewhere besides in their mouths, this movie was horrible. No decency anywhere in the movie, no sense of purpose for the movie being made, except possibly to further the LGBT?? whatever agenda. I would return the copy I bought (my fault for not looking closer at what it was before purchase) but I don't want this trash to fall into anyone else's hands who might be damaged by the intense crapload of garbage dumped on an unsuspecting viewer. Shame!

..from the usual trope of women going through with an unexpected pregnancy and it all coming up roses. It had the variety of viewpoints and reactions, and ultimately came down to women helping a woman get the help she needed while some people either made it about themselves or treated her like crap for their own gratification. It would have been interesting to dig more into the characters and their stories but that would have been more feasible in a series rather than short film, so unfortunately they seem more like caricatures rather than fully fleshed out people, but I was still happy to see a film where abortion wasn't demonized and you feel the granddaughter is now able to get away from an awful partner and work on her own life.

Since the premise of the film is about helping a teen gather funds for an abortion, it will leave anti-ab. folks angry and, even though I am pro-choice, it failed to deal with the emotional issues of making such a choice. It was a good vehicle for Lily Tomlin, with her character similar to the one in Frankie and Grace, and it was a good movie to show how a special bond can grow between a grandma and a grandkid.

I loved this movie! I laughed a lot and I also thought a lot about "women's issues" because of the topic... I loved all the actors in it; wish Colleen Camp could have had a bigger part. Lily Tomlin, Marcia Gay Hardeman, Sam Elliot and the granddaughter were FANTASTIC. It spoke of very sensitive things, but in a delicate way and it was NOT political in the way that so many things are nowadays/so many people are nowadays! I will definitely rent this again.

Very unexpected complex enjoyable movie! Well done! Loved the acting of the two main characters and every young woman needs a grandma like this one in today's world!

I loved this movie. It was not five stars, because it's has to been somewhat life changing or really make an impact for me to say that. having said that, it was a solid four stars for the drama/comedy it was. It was somehow refreshingly real. I was not offended by it, and quite surprized after watching it that others had reviewed L.Tomlin as such an awful character. I didn't feel that way at all.I have a choice about what I watch, so if a movie offended me that much, I suppose I wouldn't take the time to finish it. I don't know what all the fuss is about there, or what planet those people live on.If they find this offensive, just watch some t.v. where the pg 13 movies have teenagers having sex, and you are stuck watching it because it's such a shock, you never expected to see such a thing on t.v.

This is a unique and wonderful story about a grandmother, her granddaughter, and her mother.Lily Tomlin is superb as the angry-at-the-world-and-loving-it grandmother, and the supporting cast is great too.I've watched it several times, and I still laugh & want to watch it again - or see more about the characters.

This was a terrific movie and the leading ladies were fantastic. Julia Garner was a star who has a great career ahead of her , Lily Tomlin gave a master class as the Grandma who helps out a teenager in trouble. Super story and worth a watch to see how a great movie is made

Disappointed with this movie. Wasn't for me. Too much bad language and subject matter wasn't too interesting. Also it is really short.
