Thinner than I expected but not surprising for price. Does what it says though so it's satisfactory

perfect diffuser, however the wooden handle has pulled off the diffuser. have to push back on and reclamp it.

Product is a fire risk w/ gas stoves
Maybe I didn't think this all the way through, but the wooden handle burns! I have a gas stove and was using the scorch guard when it began to smell like a bonfire in my kitchen. A pleasant smell, just not in my kitchen. Anyway, the handle on the scorch guard was all black, smoking, and, In true irony, scorched.I wasn't able to determine whether this item performed as described because it set off the smoke alarm before I was able to confirm success or failure.

No holes, only (pretty, shiny) dimples
This diffuser WILL NOT heat anything you try to cook with it. Heated air passing through holes in the metal is essential for a diffuser to do its job. This diffuser has very shiny dimples. But they are not punched through. No holes, no cooking.

Misleading description!
This is a piece of tin JUNK. Silver colored. NOT CAST IRON AS THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION STATES. Don't waste your money. You can probably find one in the dollar stores. So disappointed. Amazon is going downhill fast if they don't research sellers' claims/descriptions. BUYER BEWARE.
