- Lash Idôle - Volumizing Mascara - Black - Instant Volume & Lift

This LANCÔME Lash Idôle mascara has really become my new favorite. I have naturally short eyelashes that tend to point downward, just something I was born with, and while I'm working on using eyelash serums to help them grow longer, I still need a mascara that can really elongate and lift what I've got. My routine is to use my Shiseido eyelash curler which is meant for flatter eyes first to coax my stubborn short lashes upward, follow up with a Heroine Make primer, and then apply this LANCÔME Idôle lash lifting mascara. The lift I get from it is honestly impressive. I also really like the brush design because instead of a typical spiral brush, it has more of a spiky texture that separates each of my thin lashes so they end up fanned out and defined rather than clumped together. It coats every lash consistently and does not clump at all no matter how many times I layer it. It pairs really well with my Heroine make primer too, with no clumping or any kind of adverse reaction between the two products, they genuinely work well together. The lift is noticeable enough that people have actually asked if I'm wearing false lashes, which is such an unexpected compliment for someone with naturally short, straight, stubborn lashes like mine. As for the tube I'm currently using, I've had it for a couple of months now and I know the general guidance is to replace mascara every three months, but the formula still performs just as well despite the time that's passed. That longevity makes me feel like it's worth the price point, and I'll admit LANCÔME is on the pricier side for mascara. I have also tried their Curl Goddess mascara from the same line, but this Idôle formula still comes out on top for me because of how the brush head is shaped and how consistently it delivers that clump free, lifted lash look.

This is absolutely the very best mascara I’ve ever used! I’m 65 years old and I’ve used a lot of them. I was an Avon lady and their mascara was fantastic but this is amazing it stays on it doesn’t flake or smear. And it really does lengthen your lashes! I have short stubby lashes and these made it look like I actually had some! I highly recommend it. It’s expensive but it’s worth it.

After trying 7 different mascaras from 5 different brands I have found this one to be the best!! It thickens and lengthens like a dream. It isn't heavy or clumpy and it looks natural and feels like it's hardly there. It's not waterproof but it actually behaves as though it is. It stays in place and it passed the swipe test! It does take an oil based eye makeup remover to take it off and actually leave your skin behind.😅 I kept it on overnight to test for allergy issues (a personal problem despite the claims) and by morning there was a bit of a smudge behind the lower lashes, but overall it wasn't a hot mess! (BTW, it passed the allergy test for me!) I'm glad I saved considerable money and got the small size bc it turns out to be larger than I expected! Great value for the same price point as drugstore mascaras, and in this case the formula lives up to the expectations of its high end name brand! I couldn't be happier with this mascara!! I highly recommend, my friends!!! 🙂 One tip is that it's best to build up before the formula dries to avoid flaking.

My favorite mascara ever!!! It makes my lashes look so good. They are all separated, no clumping!! They are also long and sleek! I love it so much. It’s so unfortunate that it's $30 a tube. I only buy it when it’s on sale. Even tho it’s my absolute favorite, I am rating it 4 stars for a couple of reasons. The first is that it dries out really quickly. After about 1.5-2 months, you need a new tube. It starts to thicken and become chunky. Lastly, I’m giving this mascara 4 stars because, as it dries out, it makes your lashes look rough, clumped, and yuck.

This is my favorite mascara of all time! It doesn't flake, it doesn't smudge and it looks great all day long. The brush has plastic bristles, but they aren't super sharp or uncomfortable, and I don't feel like I'm constantly jabbing myself in the eye like I have with some other wands. It's easy to apply and gives me the look I want without having to fuss with it throughout the day. I actually prefer getting the smaller size because I don't wear mascara every day, and I like to swap out my mascara tubes every few months rather than keep using the same one for too long. The smaller tube is also perfect for travel and throwing in my bag when I'm traveling for work. If you're someone who doesn't use mascara every day, I think the smaller tube is a great way to get the most out of the product without letting half the tube go to waste. I will absolutely purchase this formula and size again and again for as long as I can!

I really liked this mascara. It gives my lashes a nice lift and volume without making them look clumpy or heavy. The wand makes it easy to coat the lashes and build it up if you want a more dramatic look. It wears well throughout the day and does not flake all over my face, which is a big plus. I also like that it gives my lashes length while still looking pretty and separated. Overall, it is a really good mascara and one I would buy again.

Best price around! In my 50 years of wearing mascara, this is the best one I’ve found. It doesn’t flake or clump, and it separates my lashes beautifully. I wish it provided a little more lift, but even with that, it still performs better than any other mascara I’ve tried over the years. Definitely a keeper!

Really irritated my eyes and made them water while applying. It didn’t clump at first, but after a few weeks, I had a difficult time separating my lashes. Big negative for me was how difficult this mascara is to get off. I use eye makeup removal wipes and it still won’t come off totally. The morning after it’s usually made its way under my eyes and is still hard to remove. Disappointed as it is a premium product.

At first, I wasn’t sure about the price, but this mascara is genuinely worth it. I’d say it’s worth buying over a regular mascara under £10 because it holds really well. It separates the lashes very well so they don’t clump. With other mascaras I find they stick the lashes together in clumps and it ends up looking like you have fewer lashes, which kind of defeats the purpose. With this one, it gives a bit of length but also a nice perceived volume because the lashes stay separated. If you are not sure about this mascara after trying it for the 1st time, I’d recommend trying it in different angles. The wand has a slight curve, so depending on your eye shape or how your lashes grow (some go downwards, some upwards), it can make a big difference. I use the wand curve down (if that makes sense). I’d highly recommend playing around with the wand and how you hold it. Depending on how I want my lashes to look, I change the angle I use it at. I also don’t really start by rubbing at the lash line and wiggling through to the ends, which is what a lot of people do, because I find that can make the lashes clump. Instead, I gently comb through from the base of the lashes to the tips. Then to extend them, I lightly dab through the ends of the lashes and sweep outwards. This helps build length without clumping, because the more coats you apply, the clumpier they can get with any mascara!

The best mascara I’ve ever had, creates longer lashes, doesn’t glue the lashes together too much, doesn’t crumble and leave mess under the eyes after a long wear.
