This is a special kind of products you receive more than you expected for the moneyt, the info, etc.The device introduced myself in the DCC world in very easy way No compllcated commands, no big manual to read...simple and efficient!At this moment I am able to control 3 differents loco (DCC ready) in one railroad, with total management over each loco defining speed, ligths and all you can control on your loco. The separated power problem isn't a problem because the whole railroad is powered with one power source, which is the device. You only selectec what loco you want to manage, via numbers from 1 to 9, and voilá, you are controling the loco selected.Recomended!daniel

This is probably the cheapest and simplest DCC controller on the market. Serious modellers beware- it doesn't allow you to do anything fancy like modify CV values, it just lets you select locos and change their addresses. (There is a function key, sound-equipped locos.) However, for a beginner like me, it was very nice. The controls are fairly intuitive and easy to grasp (speed dial, forward/reverse and emergency stop). It even lets you run one DC loco, which is useful for me, although I understand that it's not reccomended. My only complaint is that it wore out after two years. I believe a wire connecting to the speed dial came loose. A more skilled modeller than I might have fixed it, but only ended up frying it.However, it's cheap and works well enough that I'm getting another one!

I use 3 EZ Command controllers on my 8’ x 10’ Christmas train layout, which also includes a shuttle that is controlled by a Bachmann auto reverse set. They do a nice job, and permit me to substitute DC equipment for my DCC consists when the need arises. If my railroad got to stay up all year, I probably would not use sectional track, but since my railroad only runs at Christmas, E Z track and EZ Command controllers are a good choice.

This product is good for the amateur looking to get into DCC and that's about it. When you start getting into sound decoders and complex lighting, the unit will definitely play sound, however, you don't get to adjust any of the parameters of the sound on your sound decoder such as volume which is EXTREMELY low and extremely important. If you have units like the Athearn Genesis line, the FX parameters aren't adjustable and you cannot control or change the rate at which the lights flash.The interface is easy to use, I will give that as a positive, and it delivers plenty of power to the engines themselves.All in all it's a decent product, but however it is the second Bachmann product that I have replaced due to availability of features not being there.There are other DCC systems out there that you can find (NCE power cab, MRC Prodigy etc...) that aren't too much more than this and offer a heck of a lot more of options for sound enabled decoders such as adjusting the VOLUME on the speaker.

Didn’t get what was advertised in their picture! and at a higher price than other sellers. Items not in original packaging, just loosely thrown together in mailing box! Buyer beware!!

This is the easiest way to run multiple trains at one time. Simple to set up after watching the included DVD or the YouTube videos. I am a novice and I programmed 2 locomotives and had them running in under 7 minutes. Great "kill" switch helps prevent those unwanted crashes as you learn to run several engines.

There is the black interconnecting power cord from the dcc controller to the dc controller pictured as part of the package that was not included and I can't seem to get an answer.

In the field of DCC control it is a nice command control. I liked that we could also use one engine that cannot be DCC equipped. Plastic quality of the controller is not great and control knob could have been designed to grab more easily. The control buttons for reverse direction also feel cheap. Overall so far the controller is working nicely, but we are barely starting in DCC world, so haven't tested how it would perform with a few DCC engines running.
