PILOT Dr. Grip Center of Gravity Mechanical Pencil, 0.7mm, Barrel Color May Vary, Single Pencil (36284)

I love this pencil, it writes smoothly and is comfortable in my hands. I have arthritis and it is easy to hold.The eraser erases cleanly, but is tiny and there are no replacements, so don't make many mistakes!!I do like that the eraser is hidden under the rear cap.

I developed reactive arthritis shortly before my linear algebra final. Gripping a pencil feels horrible and same goes for mechanical pencils. I ordered this after trying and failing with simple pencil grips.This pencil is a breeze to write with and an essential good for anyone with arthritis who needs to be able to hand write. The grip is good and I augmented it with a silicone pencil grip accessory for best comfort. I also loved that it shipped so fast. I needed it ASAP and it was at my door the next day. Perfect fit! I’m a woman with large bones (thanks to my father; my mother was light-boned) and this pencil is a dream to hold. Excellent!

This is a really great pencil that's a joy to use. The squishy silicon stuff around the grip of the pencil is comfortable to hold, and the lead mechanism is satisfying to click. The eraser is an absolute joke, so ignore it. It's basically there to plug up the hole into which you feed more lead. It's way too small to be of any use. It's fine though. Writing with this is so nice that I can ignore the eraser, and use an external one. If anyone has suggestions for a really nice eraser that'll sort out the pencil marks from a mechanical pencil, please comment and let me know.The weight is juuuuust right. Regular mechanical pencils (the really thin plastic ones) feel like nothing. Also, I have really large hands, so writing with a thin pencil will make my hand cramp after a while. The girth of this pencil makes such a difference in my ability to write for a long time. The other thing is that I'm a lefty. Being able to grip the pencil such that my hand doesn't rub across the writing is a Very Good Thing. This one is perfect for that.Yes, it seems like a bit of money to spend on a pencil, but if you do a lot of writing, it's worth the money.
