Chewable!
My Senegal and African gray parrots like toys that they can chew and destroy. I like that all of the pieces are compostable when they're finished.

Good news and a little not-so-good
My African Grey loves chew toys, and she went crazy with these. The only problem is that she reduced ALL of them to crumbs within about 15 minutes, so I would suggest that these are best suited for small birds unless you are wealthy !Seriously, great toy for an appropriate size bird, and probably best used incorporated into other toys such as grass mats and the like.

Bonka strikes again
I order this product for my parrot. He loves to shred them up. This most previous order the product arrived and not only is each individual piece about 1 1/2” shorter than they previously have been, but they are also significantly smaller in width as well as shown in the photos. And yet the price remains the same. I’ve discovered when ordering parrot toys from Bonka this seems to be their pattern. They keep reducing the size or quality of their products but not the price. This is now the 3rd time this has happened with 3 different parrot toy items from them.

Soft chew
My birds love this stuff. It’s a soft easy chew. When they have toys they’ve demolished I take the toy apart and refill it with the sola wood. The pieces cut easily in half and I put a new hole opposite the whole down the middle. Gives an old toy new life.

We go through one a day here!
The Flock of Four parakeets enjoy it that much! Sometimes I saw one into pieces with a bread knife and thread bird-safe rawhide through for a homemade bird toy. Lately I’ve been sticking metal kebab sticks through them with a slice of loofah on the bottom to make a perch, and they’re a huge hit! It’s easy to get creative with them and nice to provide them with something that satisfies their urges to destroy things and make a mess. In the cute way that they do, of course.
