The battery takes just 4.5 hours to fully charge, giving you up to 20 minutes of cordless run time. During that 20 minutes, you can take this lightweight vacuum pretty much anywhere. It has a multi-surface brush roll that can be switched on and off, so you can easily go from vacuuming the kitchen tile to vacuuming the living room rug with the push of a button. We also designed the handle to fold two ways, so it reaches far under furniture when folded in and stores compactly when folded down. Featherweight Cordless easily converts into a handheld vacuum, too. This hand vac works with the included crevice tool and upholstery brush, so you can clean crumbs off the couch and your four-legged friend’s fur off the footstool. Review: Excellent light, flexible, easy to clean, well-made - LOVE this vacuum. So light and easy to get a good vacuum in a few minutes, we both pick it up for a quick partial house vacuum whenever we notice a need. It easily gets under a good portion of the bed and sofa, the legs of furniture, and between spaces because it's not too wide and the handle drops very low. It completely cleans cat hair and dirt/dust off our hard floor and mats, but there is so much that a few days later it's worth running it again for 5 minutes. Separate handheld piece easily pops out for tight spaces, couch surfaces, with it's own attachments. Easy to clean and no need to change the filter constantly. We have to clean the inner and outer filter after every vacuum, but it is a snap. Easy to snap off the 2 parts and take both the inner and outer filter out to shake. The 2 filters clean up completely with a water rinse when needed. Roller easily pops out for cleaning. I can pull hair (the longer human kind) off the roller usually, and only pop out the roller if there's too much (the first few times I didn't think to check this and it had built up to cover the roller). Charging takes quite awhile after a long vacuuming session. I was able to completely cover a very hair-covered, dust-dirty 3 big rooms of hard flooring while moving furniture around the first time I used it, before re-charge needed.
Review: Way to go Bissell!!! - I LOVE this! I bought a house from a “flipper” and it is a little more than half carpet, the rest is hardwood and the kitchen, linoleum. I have four dogs. I also have neuropathy, making it hard to maneuver with no obstacles not to mention with furnishings. I have been struggling to keep the dog hair and dust down with a broom due to my asthma. Today I whipped out my little Bissell and gave it a whirl. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I did not have to pull out my sofa and try to get behind with the broom. I simply used the bend down handle feature and away went all the fur and dust. I have huge library cabinets that cannot be moved, but I went right under those as well. I was disgusted at what the broom and Swiffer had been missing. I just can’t get under there like I used to. It took up pieces of kibble from the kitchen floor, bits of dried rice, and dirt the dogs bring in. I have a very dusty house despite air purifiers. This sucks up all the dust and human hair from the bathroom floor too. A word about carpet. This appliance is just fine for my area rugs and I am certain it would be fine for ordinary plush carpet of a standard depth. However, the “flipper” chose to put in cheap ugly shag carpeting (can you actually believe that?!) in the bedrooms and small family room). This product does not provide heavy suction for shag carpet. It did remove surface and craft glitter, but there were larger bits that I had to go over several times. I love this vacuum for the purpose I bought it for, to stay on top of the dog hair in my floored areas, which is where I spend 2/3 of my day. It does a fantastic job. No more taking the broom and dustpan out everyday. I love that it is cordless and recharges with ease. I am not tripping over a cord. The dirt bin is small, but it is simple to empty in 2 seconds. I did my living, dining, and kitchen areas and then had to empty it, but my home is small. This is a fabulous help to me!

**Q: What is the height? mom is a stroke survivor and only 4'10". the last stick vacuum i got her - it was too tall for her. thanks**
A: this vac is 3ft. 6in. tall. It is very light and super easy to use. For even easier movement put a few small drops of oil on the roller at each end. If the roller is full of debris it will stop and turn off the vacuum. I'm 73 with asthma and can't use the heavy vacuums anymore. So really love this one. Hope this helps.

**Q: How well does it pick up cat litter**
A: Cat litter is my primary reason for buying this.  It picks up very well on the litter box small rug, small room carpet, and the next small room with tile flooring.  Easy to empty, too.

**Q: Can it stand up by itself or does it have to be leaned against something?**
A: It can stand up alone.

**Q: I just moved and needed to recharge but the cord is nowhere to be found.  where can i find a replacement? i couldn't find it on amazon.**

This is now my go-to vacuum cleaner. it is so lightweight and does a great job vacuuming floors and low pile carpet. It is so convenient I no longer bother using my heavy and much more expensive vacuum cleaner. It is also easy to empty the dirt collection bin. I also love that it warns you when it will soon need to be charged.
