I’ve always liked both hot and cold tea, but like most people, I just use the traditional teabags. I’d been reading a lot about the benefits of loose leaf teas and decided I needed to give them a try. When I started looking for a tea infuser, I had no idea there would be so many different types of tea strainers. I simply wanted something to make a good cup of tea.In my research, I had read tea leaves should have room to expand and the smaller tea infusers really don’t leave room for expansion. I saw the Teablee brew-in-mug infuser with the silicone trim around the edge of the lid and thought that would be a good place to start. It has a deep stainless steel filter basket which allows it to hold a larger amount of tea leaves compared to the standard mesh tea ball infuser. It arrived on time, and is exactly like the pictures on Amazon. The design is classy, yet simple and practical - just the way I like things.The tea infuser’s extra fine mesh keeps the loose tea leaves contained, which is a big plus for me - I don’t like things floating in my drink. The handles sit on the edge of the cup, so it’s easy to lift the infuser out. I’ve taken pictures of it in different sized cups, so you can see it’s compatible with a variety of cup sizes.One of my favorite things about the Teablee personal tea maker is the lid. The silicone trimmed edge on the lid not only protects your fingers from the heat when you remove it, it prevents the lid from moving around on the counter when it’s being used as a drip tray to hold the tea filter when it’s removed from the cup.The package is designed with a soft green color which I think is perfect for both men and women so it would make a great gift idea for all tea lovers. I’m giving one to my son-in-law for his birthday this month. So far, I’ve only used the Maharaja Chai Oolong tea, but I’m looking forward to trying out all of the different types of teas and see which one will be my favorite. Here’s to better health!

Love this new tea strainer. Very eco friendly. I am moving way from bagged tea, as so many manufacturers use nylon or polyester mesh bags now. The strainer has a very fine mesh, some fine tea bits do get through, but no more than I get with paper tea bags. Love that it fits over wide mosh mugs. It is large enough for a small tea pot.Love the little cozy/ tea coaster, makes it easy to brew at my desk.

We have been using this tea strainer every day for months, and it works great, best we've ever had. We make tea by the pot and cup both every day, so a good tea strainer that is fairly easy to clean it a must. This has worked very well, makes great tea, and is easy to clean - I just knock most of the leaves out, and give it a good rinse and set out to dry. Periodically I will wash with soap, by hand or on the top shelf, just to keep things extra clean (but if you use the dishwasher, be sure to rinse again with water and let it dry when you take it out, so no soap residue gets in your first batch of tea). This works great, and the little lid keeps the heat and flavor in while the tea steeps, great design and great value.

So far, none of the tea leaves have escaped the very small holes. The silicone on the lid protects your fingers. The description isn't quite correct, though. It says "silicone-lined". The silicone is entirely on the outside. It never touches the liquid in the mug. It is also removable if one so desires.

Make ginger tea with this by putting grated fresh ginger in it. Love this thing.

I absolutely love this. I was worried about it being either too large or not large enough for my different mugs but it's designed in such a way that it should fit almost anything. Much better than a ball, very little loose tea gets through it and then only if it's Rooibos.
