I had resisted buying this because it was expensive and plastic. Instead I bought a suction mounted item and a tile item. Neither would stick to the wall no matter the adhesive (I tried silicone, cement, mastic, you name it). I finally got this one, and though I still think it is over priced, it has met my needs swimmingly. A little research and I realize the price is about $32 if you by it direct from the seller. But the seller is in Australia, so you will have to pay extra for shipping. Amazon, I suppose, has built the shipping into the price. However, I believe a few dollars could be saved if the item were shipped in more generic packaging. The packaging in which I received it was pretty darned fancy and unnecessary. Price notwithstanding, the item is fairly sturdy, fits in the corner of my shower very well, is tall enough to make shaving comfortable. I'm happy. Mind you, this is NOT a shower seat (unless you are a toddler). It will withstand a heavy leg (I am a woman of substance), it is easy to install, remove and clean. Seriously consider this piece before any other solutions.

My shower has no bench or side where you can easily place a foot, so shaving was difficult. I went out in search of a bench or foot stool for the shower and found a lot of bamboo/wood items that cost $150+. Then I found this. Yes, it's just plastic and I downgraded it a star because I think $50 is a bit much, but I'm so happy I didn't spend 3x that for something else. I'm 5'1" and this works like a charm to shave my legs. My 6'1" husband uses it to wash his legs and feet more easily. It's sturdy enough, big enough without taking too much space, and can be easily broken apart and run through the dishwasher to clean.

I can't believe I went so long without ordering this! It's always driven me crazy that there was nowhere to prop my legs up to shave in our shower. This is perfect - a huge improvement to my morning routine!

I recently moved into a new home, and it had no bench or platform to use when shaving my legs. This works well - and does fit, as noted, into the curved corner of my existing shower stall. It was extremely easy to set up - but a minor caveat is that it might benefit from another "leg" in the middle of the unit. It works but is not totally stable - users should take care not to inadvertently "lean" on it, or put too much pressure, because it can tip. I am satisfied with this foot rest, but it is not likely to work as well for those who aren't entirely steady on one foot.

This costs a lot for plastic but is worth it since it's much sturdier than some others I've seen. It's worked great for shaving no complaints here! Also looks nice tucked away in the corner of my shower. My shower is 46 inches and I was worried about space but there is still plenty of room.

We bought a new house and the master shower does not have a spot for shaving. This is the perfect solution because I did not want to gunk up the beautiful stone tile work with an adhesive that some of the other similar products require. It is sturdy and fits perfectly in a corner. No more shaving struggles for me!

The cheap adhesive foot pads came off almost immediately. It is flimsy, cheaply made and definitely not worth fifty dollars.

While this stool is a little pricey, it serves its purpose very well and is made specifically for corner shower use. I recommend this product over a cheaper, non-specific solution. In other words, don't bother buying a less expensive product in your local hardware store to replace this item.
