The printing is beautiful with gorgeous images. No fluff at all, just great context. No wasted page on introductions, just great detailed and well explained content. You can tell this is a book totally focus on sharing knowledge and equipping us we great technique. Although at first glance it may seems like it is, this is NOT a formula or recipe book. It is a well thought out, carefully done, explanation of how we can create great images for our client.The book is a great read. In a very clear, personal and honest approach, Bob Davis and Dawn Davis share some of their great images with us. Is like sitting next to them while they critique each image for us. They take each image apart and explain the concept, thought and creative process and technical decisions that went behind each shot to create the stunning image.The gorgeous images and content inspire and challenge you to take your own photography to the next level and Bob and Dawn lead the way by example.This is a MUST have book for every photographer library.

Very refreshing to see when renowned photographer opens the kimono and shares the technique and philosophy behind their images. This book is very successful because Bob is transparent with his lighting techniques, exposure info, and approach to crafting professional images. A quality of a true professional is consistency, and they really hit the mark. Additionally, the printing and image quality of book is great -- I love the full spread images, with supplemental tips and bullet points. It's no wonder why Bob and Dawn can command high prices and are very successful as educators. Thanks for this book.

Great ideas for poses great time getting it was new as promised

Being a full time wedding photographer it was good to get some fresh ideas for engagements. There are not many books out on engagement photographer, albeit that is going to change now, but this is a good read. I would recommend it to other photographers.

Beautiful images - lots of ideas for engagement sessions - some very usable, others over the top.

I have to say there are a lot of photography books out there. Some can be a bit overwhelming for people who want to learn how the true professionals are able to get such stunning imagery. I really think that the more basic and straight forward a book can be, the best that people will actually be able to execute and learn from it. This book is very very clear....although much is the lighting is not basic, it is presented in a basic way, in common speak that will allow the novice, and beginning off camera flash photographer to be able to replicate and practice. It is also great inspiration with refreshing material for even the seasoned professional. At around $25 it is an incredibly inexpensive investment to anyone looking to learn from the best. I also love that the author is an ACTUAL WORKING PHOTOGRAPHER.....this is key in learning and reading from someone as the author is LIVING the examples and true in practice, rather than just collecting models to write this book. Elevate your career, learn and practice from this book, it is an incredible dialogue of how a real working professional executed sessions. Filled with beautiful photos, limited verbiage that is specific and clear and complete recipes to explore your own style.....highly recommended!
