Calgary Book of Everything: Everything You Wanted to Know About Calgary and Were Going to Ask Anyway

This was not a very good guide but it was the only one I could find anywhere. So something is better than nothing. Think if you really need it before buying.

This book is actually great fun, as long as you understand what it is and is not. It is a book about Calgary, and is full of interesting information and curious facts. It is not a guide book. An example of a strange and curious fact: in 1920 auto polo was introduced in the Calgary Stampede as "the climax of dangerous sports". No kidding.

I was expecting that there might be a lot of pics and maps from its cover. I know I should have not chosen the book from its cover but it was very disappointing. There was a lot oh information but little of it was useful.

Bought this as we are planning to move to Calgary but couldn't find a book that gave practical advice. Would recommend this totally as it gives lots of practical statistics.

I purchased this book for a family that are emegating to Caldary and the found it a grate help for when they go.
