Review: The book is well worth the price and has been authored by a very credentialed individual - It is a book that you read thru but you dont put it away. I will be referencing this book frequently. One example: There are many articles for years on soy . This book provides more in depth information and surprising info including how soy interacts with hyperthyroidism which I never read before. This is a well written book on how fiber and nutrients in everything we eat determines just how healthy we can be. Making Fiber Fun
This book is written with humor that actually makes the topic of fiber a fun read! I was surprised at how easy to follow the tips were in each chapter, and that while it’s a science-based book, it informs without hard to understand medical jargon. So if you are looking to stop counting calories but change your way of eating for the better, this is the book for you. My favorite part is the yummy recipes and sample meal plans! I totally recommend The Fiber Effect.

Fiber Primer
A very good introduction to the incredible health benefits of increasing the fiber content in our diets including a great selection of recipies. This book was a form of confirmation bias for me since I am totally on board with the concept of adding more fiber daily. I eat mostly a plant based diet but digress with the author on the reason why. The author delves into the "touchy-feely" side of plant based diets such as cruelty prevention and climate improvement. I am a conservative and don't subscribe in any manner to either of these undocumented reasons for a plant based diet - my sole reason is the health benefit as documented by clinical trials. The author and I are obviously at opposite ends on the political spectrum but we do agree on the benefits of fiber in our daily diets.

Highly recommended
There are several things that separate “The Fiber Effect” from other diet and calorie counting books. Nichole Dandrea-Russert has written a book that is easy and fun to read. She blends humor with factual scientific data providing both guidance and learning. This book is filled with great recipe ideas, fiber fun facts and tips on healthy living. A sensible and informative read and I highly recommend this book.

not useful to me
I returned this book because after spending just a few minutes browsing through the recipes, which make up a lot of the book, I did not see any that I would make because of their ingredients being items I am uninterested in purchasing and incorporating and/or the equipment required being something I don't have and don't want (e.g. a food processor). I already have a VitaMixer, mix master, juicer, and blender and don't want to add another appliance. I also quickly saw some other lists with items I'm uninterested in purchasing.

Great, except for the errors with recipe page numbers
I love the book. I enjoy how she explains everything easily. I like the meal plans and the recipes. The big problem I have with the book (which isn’t big at all, really) is where the meal plan is, it gives you the name of the recipe to access in the book and the page number, but the page numbers are always “page XX”. I will just write the page numbers in myself, but it is a bit disappointing,I guess, that this wasn’t picked up by an editor. 😬
