Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz: Selected Works

Interesting work from Sor Juana Ines that talks about gender realtions in the 1600s. Though some of the poems seems to be a little scattered overal it is a decent book. As a note, she does not have a very extent biography if that is something important for you as a reader.

This had some wonderful poems and sonnets. I used it for my university class.

Ive read her "letters" and wanted to read more of her work. great book and it came on time.

This is a really interesting look at gender relations in the 17th century.

There are some beautiful thoughts in this book. I am facinated by this woman, fighting to express herself.

Not a scholarly edition, and will be of chief interest to those interested in early modern women's writing and colonial Baroque literature. In the latter respects, a reasonably priced and very readable volume of works by a fascinating figure in seventeenth-century literature and philosophy.

These fine poems are too sparse a selection from this poet’s works.

I wish I had been able to see the table of contents before buying this book because it did not include the one work of hers that I was actually looking for. However, otherwise it is a great book.

Probably my mistake but thought it was to be more biographical. However, I am thrilled with this edition. Delivered on time and with great service.
