Issy and Wuzzy: There's a Bear over There!

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book. I read it to my 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students and they were so engaged and enchanted by it! It was one of their favorite stories ever, a touching and heartfelt story about a little girl and a special wish. I was amazed to learn that the illustrations were actually done by the author; her artistic gifts surpass many I have seen in children's books during my 17 years as a teacher. My classes have asked me to read this story over and over again! This is a wonderful book for children of all ages, and I am planning on ordering several more copies for my family members and friends. It is very reasonably priced for a book of this quality. My students and I would love to see another book from this talented writer and illustrator!

The illustrations are delightful, and the story line is compelling. The subtle humor tickles fancies in just the right way. Not only is this book a keeper, it makes a wonderful gift for all little girls with lively imaginations.
