Mac Mini Mid 2011
Bought this for my Mac Mini Mid 2011, which previously had two gigabytes. The install was super easy and I didn't have a single problem. Since this is one eight gigabyte chip I went ahead and left one of the one gigabyte chips that came with the machine inside. Apple says the max RAM this machine can handle is eight, but it recognizes and works with nine just fine. So unbelievably impressed with the difference it makes. Nothing lags, can have several apps open at once, several tabs. Even web pages load faster. Definitely recommend buying this. I would also recommend checking the Crucial website to see what RAM is compatible with your machine. The memory installed quite easily in about half an hour. Just 3 screws to unscrew and then push the new memory card in. A noticeable improvement in response time when opening itunes and iphoto especially, as before adding this extra RAM these two programs were very sluggish to open. All in all a great way to extend the life / usefulness of a 5 year old imac for only $90.
