lasted just over 8 years
I bought 3 of these in December 2013, wired in parallel to a tripp-lite APS1250 to use as battery backup for a 1/3 HP sump pump (not sold anymore but similar specs as Superior Pump 92372). In addition to a number of actual power outages in those 8 years, the AC power to the APS1250 is on a timer that cuts out once a week for 2 hours to regularly test the battery backup. This week was the first time that the test period failed; the pump apparently kicked on and the battery amps had degraded low enough that the APS1250 went into overload while running the sump pump and shut down.Today I'm ordering 3 replacement UPG batteries. 8 years seems like a pretty good value so I'm hoping the new ones are of the same quality as the old ones.

Good batteries; Great price!
I bought 8 of these batteries. I have them wired in parallel on by boat for a house bank of 800AH at 12 volt. I had them shipped to Miami where they were put on a ship to St Thomas, Virgin Islands where I live. Shipping was fast and the batteries were packaged very well. The batteries are heavy, which is a good thing. I agree with other reviews that the bolts sent with the batteries are too short for more than one cable per terminal. I just bought new ones of the proper length for about $.25 each, no problem. I have only had the batteries for close to a month. I use them 24/7 and keep them topped off with a generator. As I repair my live aboard boat fro hurricane Irma damage, Iโll be adding solar panels back to keep the batteries charged. These batteries are working well for me. At the price, I donโt think they can be beat.UPDATE Two years later, the batteries are still great! I have 8 of the batteries wired in parallel to give me an 800 AH battery bank. After I rebuilt the hardtop over the cockpit of my boat, I added 800 watts of solar panels. I get about 90% of my power needs from the solar panels charging my batteries. I have a small generator that I run about two hours in the evening to keep the battery bank charged. I am very happy with these batteries.

I like these so much, I'm buying 4 more for my trailer!
***update 2 years for first set, 1 year for second set. All seven batteries are working as expected***I have three of these, charged by my engine and/or 400 watts solar. I need AGM because I have them inside the vehicle. I generally don't run them below 80%. They accept a full charge (when the battery accepts <1.5 amps per 100ah) by early afternoon on every sunny day. They sagged a bit with a 700 watt microwave oven, but what do you expect for only 300ah?I bought these as my first RV set of batteries, fully anticipating committing batterycide quickly. But, it looks like they will last a good while longer.I'm getting a trailer. Instead of spending a lot more per battery for AGM golf cart batteries, I'm just going to get 4 more of these UPG batteries. Once again, I'm not planning on killing these batteries, but if I were to, it won't destroy my wallet. I don't know if Lithium batteries will comed own in price by the time I need to replace these, but we'll see.

3 years, zero maintenance
I have four of these batteries banked to provide backup power for a 1/2 hp sump pump. An inverter in front of the batteries feeds an automatic transfer switch so the pumps go immediately to battery power if the power fails. I set all of that up in February of 2018; three years later, the system still performs perfectly. Manufacturer's specs claim optimal battery life when given a 30 amp load, so keep that in mind when doing your capacity planning.

Best camper battery ever!!!!!
This battery is top of the line! I am using it in a small camper to power lights, furnace and 500w inverter. I researched batteries for over a month to find most are not truly deep cycle. Most store bought batteries won't list the AH (amp hours) and if the battery says anything about cold cranking amps it's not a true deep cycle. I was originally looking at the Optima batteries which won't list there AH and are really not a deep cycle battery. So I bought the UPG shipped to the front door for $150. I did enjoy watching are rude delivery man carry this heavy monster up are driveway! It came in 2 thick boxes with lots of foam very well protected. The battery is larger then most and very heavy! Came fully charged at 13.8 V and is a work horse. This battery is completely sealed and safe for indoor use. I can camp for 4 days without draining less the 50%. If you want your batteries to last don't discharge more the 50%.

Unhappy with 2 year life span
I bought two of these on Nov 2015. It is now Oct 2017. They are for the house section of my RV. They worked fine for a while, then started having issues. Both are connected together. The main one is now no good. The Aux one is still okay. Coming back here to review it, I noticed that though the seller advertises them as AGM (Advanced Glass Mat - a superior form of Sealed Lead Acid), they do not state that on the battery itself. There is no AGM marking I can see on the battery. So it is most likely not.2 yrs life is not good on an expensive battery. It should be at least 5 yrs or 10. Seller does not want to refund, replace, or prorate life. If I buy a different brand to replace the dead one, it will drain the good one, even with identical specs. Therefore I have to buy two new ones to replace one good and one bad battery. A big expense I am very unhappy about. I need this for my RV but the expense is very high. If I buy this one again, the brand will match, but I am buying an inferior product. Not sure which way to go. Very unhappy with the situation. I do not recommend this product. Check out the Duracel version model WKDC12-100P which is more costly, but has an Ultra Deep Cycle feature where you can discharge 80 - 100% without worry. Or go Lithium.

>NOT< an AGM battery
Use it as portable power source for my ham radio equipment. Does the job.BEWARE: when searching on Amazon for a 12V agm deep cycle battery, the description for this battery currently appears as "SLA/AGM maintenance free, spill proof battery UPG #45978 UB121000 12V 100Ah" and has encribed on the side of the battery "Sealed Lead Acid" which is completely misleading. This battery is NOT and agm battery. Sealed Lead Acid and Advanced Glass Matrix (AGM) batteries differ in many respects, not the least of which are discharge and load current characteristics.
