Bomber Strap (Black with Magnetic Buckles: Made in USA, Patented, Secure Single MT Bike Application

I do a lot of solo rides whenever I can find time, so I was looking for a way to transport a single bike with minimal hassle. I also wanted something that I could remove easily and put on my truck only when I needed it. The Bomber Strap was really the only option. Some observations after using it for a while…The strap itself is really well-made and thought out. Padding is nice and thick but flexible and resilient. Underside material is very soft. Buckles and straps are durable and offer a wide range of adjustability.In use, fitting it to my Ranger was easy. Pretty straightforward since it includes a high-quality metal buckle that clamps securely to maintain a good, snug fit. Padding is solid. I have no worries about dinging my bike or truck. As for the bike, the loops that hold the frame and fork can be placed anywhere in the molle webbing that runs the length of the strap. Took me just a few minutes to find the ideal setup for my bike’s particular geometry. There’s also a strap included which secures the handlebars to your top tube. This locks your front tire in position so it never comes close to touching your truck’s lift gate—a really simple and ingenious solution. The bike doesn’t shift or move much at all once strapped in. Feels really secure.Overall, I’m really happy with my Bomber Strap. Yeah, it’s not cheap. But it’s not built cheap—the quality is really good. I prefer the way it looks to pads that cover the whole lift gate. It’s easy to take on and off. And it was a nice added bonus for me that it’s made in the USA. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and secure way to haul a bike or two to the trail.

This strap works well for its intended use, but I definitely cannot see why it costs upwards of $100.The strap is extremely annoying to try and get up and through the tailgate, this could have been fixed by adding extra stitching to the end of the strap, making it rigid and easier to run under the tailgate.The strap comes loose as you drive so you definitely want to make sure it's tight every time you load/unload the bike.Overall, the strap is far more convenient than a full tailgate pad.

Top quality! I love this bike pad and it works just as I hoped. Very quick and easy to load and dismount bike with little to no movement once strapped on. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality strap that has plenty of padding to protect your tailgate (no scratches in the 4 months I have had mine mounted).

I already have a double pad, which works awesome with ONE bike. Takes me about 15 seconds to securely slap my Gravel bike on my truck. However, trying to get two bikes on can be annoyingly difficult, so tried this one for a second bike. While the product description does state that this is an MTB rack, I made the assumption it would be somewhat flexible and work for a Gravel bikes as well - NOPE. The downward clamp which is exactly the same as the primary bike tube clamp (both of which seem a bit over engineered to me, getting them tight is not easy) is designed for fat tubular forks, not flat forks. I spent a couple of hours trying to get it to work (e.g. fatten my fork with pool floaty (too loose), used other Velcro straps on the downward fork trying to get it work easily (spokes get in the way). No luck, My bad - they should EMPHASIZE that it only works for fat forks.

Keeps my bike secure, is super low profile, and really easy to install/use.
