Lovely skirt out of the pkg, but..
Im 5'5", 175lbs, W:36"/H:41" & typically wear a 12/Lrg.I love the cut of these Kate Kasin skirts but.. altho the XL was recommended at my measurements, it felt almost loose all over when I tried it on, so found Large in another listing (none available in 1st listing), & the Large feels like a much better fit. I do need shaper/shorts to smooth me out in the Lrg (bcuz the lumpy pantyline silhouettes are pronounced at the back). The XL has the respectable fit it would hav if it wasnt a stretch fabric. That's not to say the Lrg doesn't look nice bcuz it does, it's just more form fitted. The XL looks nice with a loose fitting sheer blouse that's not meant to be tucked in; the blouse falls in line with the skirt (otherwise, it looks top heavy over the size Lrg more fitted skirt).. that said, the Lrg is more flattering with a tucked in blouse that's still respectable but slightly more fitted to my size, if that makes sense.I'm inclined to keep both, but that idea seems rather silly.. what to do?.. š¤I'm also wondering if it may shrink?? (mind, I only wash in cold water, delicate or handwash cycle, gentle laundry detergent, no fabric softener, & hang to dry), & I would not DARE iron this fabric!!.. š±Decisions decisions & the clock is ticking! ā° Im in my mid 50s & wasnt looking for a 'stretch' pencil skirt, but it seems all pencil skirts on Amazon are stretch. š©Also.. the zipper is very sticky on the XL, so that worries me too. It feels rather delicate in structure & does not like passing the 'hump' of the multi layered fabric/seams (of where the waist attaches to the skirt part).. I am VERY careful with it but it worries me everytime I've tried it on (I've tried it on a few times, struggling to make a decision).. anyways, it just takes some extra power to get it thru that point, & I'm petrified it may break. š¬ if it did, the way it fits me, it could easily be removed, sew the seam shut & turn it into a pull-on skirt! šWill add pics later..

Runs large.
For reference, I normally wear 12 or Lg (occasionally Med), 36"W/41"H, but followed the size chart & ordered XL.I love the style of the skirt, it's exactly what I was looking for, but the XL's a bit too big on me. I didn't want it fitting snug/tight, but this fit loose on my waist & throughout, so i need it a bit more fitted than it is.I would've preferred a non-stretch for a clean/polished professional look, but all the pencil skirts listed, seem to be a full stretch fabric.. does anyone make a basic pencil skirt anymore?? š„Update; I found a Lg, & it fits & looks much better. I wear a high waisted shaper underneath to smooth out the lumpy VPL's.

Order size down but otherwise decent product
Iām really glad I read the reviews and decided to go a size down. Fits perfect in the waist as well as has an ideal length for professional environments but still too big at the hips and beyond even though I have a bigger butt and thighs. Iām 5ā, 135 lbs and typically wear mediums or a 5/7 depending on brand. Material is decently soft and seems durable but very stretchy everywhere except the waist. Bunches up in awkward places bc of how itās sewn but overall decent product for a last minute interview
