My impish little MaltiPoo has sensitive skin.....most shampoos make her scratch like crazy or even break out in hives.She also had a dull looking off-white coat.....not to mention those ugly, rusty tear stains that are practically impossible to eliminate.In spite of monthly visits to the local doggie spa (to the tune of $80 per visit) my pooch was......a MESS.I decided to search for some products to improve her looks.I was also hoping that if she LOOKED prettier perhaps she might BEHAVE better.So I started looking for some products & reading tons of reviews here on Amazon.After much trial & error.......and some tutoring by way of Youtube .......Lilly & I are spending quality time togetherand I'm saving a ton of dough by grooming her myself.Here's the stuff:Isle of Dogs #16 Whitening Shampoo (not only is she white....she's BRIGHT white. People actually stop to ask me what I use)Isle of Dogs #51 Heavy Management (basically it's conditioner....and it's awesome)Isle of Dogs Violet & Sea Mist Spray (eliminates doggie odors between grooming. I use it every day. SMELLS GREAT)Tylosin Tartrate---Elanco Tylan Soluble. ELIMINATES TEAR STAINS. Yes, there is controversy over the use of antibiotics but hey..... THIS WORKS!It's a small dose of antibiotic that kills the yeast that causes those unsightly tear stains. A small pinch added to the food once a day for a week or so and the problems is gone. No further treatment needed until you start to see stains returning. Lilly has gone months between treatments.Ever since products like "Angel Eyes," & "Angels' Glow" have either changed their formulas or are no longer available, people who show dogs for a living use this.WAHL 5 in 1 cordless/rechargeable trimmer..... together with the WAHL 5 in 1 Stainless Steel Attachment Kit (bought separately).Might seem a little pricey, but together, with watching youtube videos titled "how to groom a Maltese" plus a little practice...I do a very passable puppy cut on my little mutt and have saved millions of bucks in the process.OK......maybe only hundreds & hundreds so far.PLUS..... no hassle with cords to deal with.AND it is VERY QUIET.2 important factors i have found. (Around $100 for both items)LePet dog grooming scissors set.This is a set of four specialized scissors especially for dog grooming.Also includes a metal comb & comes in a zippered case. (around $20...& surprisingly good quality considering the price)The only other thing I added was a small pair of blunt tipped scissors (around $6) for trimming near her eyes.Nail clippers.....(under $20)The only thing I haven't mastered yet are those tiny bows the professional groomer put in her hair.But she hasn't complained. In fact she always pulled them out as soon as we got home.Anyway......learning to groom my doggie has been fun in addition to saving money.And she's been so good & patient with me while I was learning.If you've ever thought about doing it...go ahead and give it a try.

This was recommended to me by my dogs’ handler. My Porcelaine Hounds are white and this shampoo makes them shine. Worth the extra money and you can often get it for less than cost on Amazon.

Smells awesome & definitely makes my dogs’ whites whiter. I have a cavalier & this stuff makes her hair SUPER soft. Kinda pricey but it’s a big bottle. And I love the pump top.
