Better Life Sulfate Free Dish Soap, Tough on Grease & Gentle on Hands, Pomegranate, 22 Ounces

I am a fan of Better Life products and have been for a while, though this was my first time trying their dish soap. When I was reading reviews before purchasing it, I noticed that some reviews mentioned a weird phenomenon where the dish soap was thick and good when it was first opened, but after a short time, it became very thin and watery and not as good at lathering. This also happened to me! It was really good and thick and great at lathering in the first week, but after that, suddenly the soap has turned a more opaque white color and is super thin. I feel like I have to use twice as much(if not 3x as much!) for it to be the same amount of suds and longevity as before. Overall, are my dishes getting clean? Yes, they are. It just feels a bit wasteful and expensive for me to use this dish soap. After I am finished with my bottles of it, I think I will switch back to the Seventh Generation dish soap, as it holds up great and is it a better price point. I think I will still repurchase several other cleaning products from Better Life, as I have had much better luck with most of those and appreciate how non toxic they are.

Good product

I bought this product as I now have no dishwasher in my new home. Wanted something environmentally friendly. I find I have to use more product than I thought in order to get things clean and for it to last through the entire wash. It's just the 2 of us, so I do dishes at the end of the day to conserve water and so forth. I go through a bottle a lot faster that I think one should go through based on my usage. I will buy more though as it is gently on hands.

Works well. No problem with grease, although I don't cook with beef fat, just butter to wash off cutlery. No harmful ingredients. I can recommend.

We had been using Seventh Generation and assumed it was non-toxic, but upon further research through EWG, we found out that it has some less-than-ideal ingredients. This was the only one I could find on Amazon at a reasonable price that received EWG's highest rating, so we decided to give it a shot. It is fantastic! We love the cleaning power, the scent, and most of all - the truly natural ingredients that we don't have to worry about soaking into our skin! The only small negative would be the spout; the design could use some improvement so the soap isn't constantly dripping down the side of the bottle. EDIT (8/12/20): We love this soap and am amazed at how much longer each bottle lasts compared with other brands. Also, to those out there complaining about suds...it doesn't suds up because they don't add the terrible sulfates in there, which I'm grateful for. And the suds have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with cleaning, it's just a marketing campaign from years ago that's stuck in your head. Do a quick search and see for yourself. Use this wonderful soap without the suds and thank yourself later.
