I purchased the Purina DentaLife Cat Dental Treats after my ten year old cat Walter's last veterinary appointment where he received a pretty low grade regarding his dental health. Too have his teeth professionally cleaned was over $1000 and they would need to put him under and I avoid that at all costs. Another option was to put him back on dry food but he is prone to urinary tract infections so I was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I decided to give these a try based on the reviews.He has been eating them daily for over a month now and there is a noticeable improvement. It took some time before he would even let me get near his mouth but I went slow putting my hands near his mouth a little more every day until be finally let me open his mouth enough to check. There is a lot less plaque built up on his teeth and his gums look a lot healthier too. His breath is a little bit better as well, but I am hoping it continues to improve. Right now I put about 10-15 pellets in his bowl with this canned food, which is seafood based so I purchased the Salmon flavored, each time I feed him - which is twice a day. At some point I might cut back the frequency and amount, but for now I am going to continue as is for another 3-4 weeks.So yeah, this stuff really did the trick for Walter. Not sure it will work for your cat - it is dependent on if they will even eat them, but for my cat it worked out well. 5 yr old cats breath is fresh. Most teeth don't have tartar. I will start brushing in addition to these treats.

These work great for my cats! They all like the taste of them, and I think it helps with tartar buildup. It also has probiotics, which is good for thier health & digestive system. Overall happy with my purchase.

My cat loves these and they have really done a great job keeping her teeth clean. Twice each day I toss 6 of them , one at a time, for her to run and find. It gives her some fun and exercise at the same time as the crunching cleans her teeth and gums. I’ve tried a different brand but the nuggets are smaller and she only does one bite or swallows them whole. The Dentalife require 2 to 4 bites. Perfect!
