Great quality. The smell and appearance seem fresh. Expiration date is listed as 12/2027, almost 15 months from when I received it. As expected, it is a large amount and a value price per ounce. The packaging is an opaque mylar bag and inside it appears to be maybe 6-8 squares of the shea butter stacked on top of each other with a clear plastic wrap tight around them. The squares are a little smooshed together so it’s not super clear how many there are but it does look like a decent way to take a portion of it out at a time to make in a natural skin product or to just keep a smaller portion in a separate container for easier, cleaner use. The plastic wrap is not re-closable, but the mylar bag is. The remaining portion I guess is ok to be saved in the mylar bag? I have not separated any smaller portion from the package yet, but I was very excited to try it, so I have used a clean small spoon to scoop a little out, put on the palm of my hand with a smaller portion of Rosehip oil and rubbed them together vigorously and have applied to my freshly washed skin- mostly face and neck but also hands and body. I LOVE the feeling and effect. For face, if I don’t rub it together enough it can leave a little oily appearance and feel. So I just need to make sure I do. The rosehip oil, and damp skin and vigorous rubbing before applying helps to allow it to be absorbed. For night, that’s all I do and for day, I wait 10 or so minutes and then add a matte finish tinted, mineral sunscreen and honestly no shine!

I have been using store bought butter for years, thought I’d give yellow brick road a try and I love it! Feels silky smooth on my skin, glides on beautifully and leaves my skin looking amazing! It does not smell. It was a little messy getting it out of the bag and into a container but worth it! I just slathered it everywhere!!!

I am very happy with this! Using it to soften severely cracked heels and it's therapeutic properties in my skin care. It is known for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects, making it beneficial for conditions like dry skin, eczema, and minor wounds. I had ankle surgery and hoping it helps with the inflammation. It is greasy, be aware! Some people mix it with some other natural products to cut back on some grease. I am just applying it and rubbing it in and adding socks to let it sink in better. It has a slight smell that is not at all like perfume. It is not a wow smell or even nice but it is not awful by any means. I did notice that the sock will smell a bit unpleasant after it has had the shea butter in it but that just needs to be washed. Do not wash the socks with other items that might possibly get affected by the grease from the Shea Butter if you launder socks with other items. I always just wash socks with socks because I doubt the washing machine kills all of the bacteria. Handwashing is best but I sometimes get lazy and look for easier ways. It appears to be a high quality. I did read to NOT buy refined Shea Butter, this is NOT refined and I am happy. I saw several online articles recommend this brand as one of the better ones to choose from. Hopefully it is as good as it can get or close to that! We cannot trust magazines, etc. because they often don't test things thoroughly and reprint other people's opinions. I do think Shea butter does go bad after a time so keep it closed and check how to store it. I am keeping mine closed in the package that it came in, for now. I might transfer it to a glass dish (not plastic). Don't let air in if possible.

The scent is not strong it smells very clean. The purchase was reasonable. I have never suffered a y skin irritation while using it, it comes as a big clump so it is thick when solidified,once melted down it rubs on easily, I am pretty satisfied with how my customers enjoy my product. I use this in making my Scented Body Butters, will continue to purchase

Best shea butter ive ever bought. Body heat melts it with touch. I will definitely be purchasing this again in the future. Great product, smell is nice, not overpowering.

Just like the other shea butter I picked up, this one worked great mixed with a bit of oil for my locs. It's smooth, moisturizes well, and would probably be just as good used on skin, though I mainly stick to using it in my hair routine.

Makes my hair great. I have fine, porous, curly hair and when I do the mask, leave overnight then wash off my hair is amazing and the curls are tamed without frizz. I recommend.

I have ordered 3 times now and it is THE best quality. Since I have dry skin, I make my own mousturizing cream with shea butter and jojoba oil and it works wonders for my skin. This is the third winter I am using this. Too bad that it is currently unavailable.
