Best mask around
Received this email asking for a review in Ko'Olina. Since I just used the mask again minutes ago I thought it would be a good moment for a review as the memory is fresh. The goods:Ample field of visionStays in place easily. No need to have straps really tightBreathing is different but easy to adapt toIt fogs only if you raise your head out of waterGo Pro attachment very convenientGood overall quality of materialsThe ball that locks water out makes a sound that lets you know you have it bellow water levelThe needs improvement:The little cap to connect the Go Pro is a loose piece. I guess since it is metal that will give the ability to rinse it but I wonder how long it will take to lose it. It comes with only one.The plastic of the GoPro attachment is a little tick. Good but it makes the GoPro screw a little shortIndeed there is no way to release pressure. It is a given for any of these mask and one needs to be aware of itOverall I am very satisfied. For the average folk just trying to explore some coves and shallow coral areas it is great

Excellent quality and extremely comfortable
Looks and feels like excellent quality. I can’t comment on how it works, it will be awhile before we can try it out. I can however tell you that it is very comfortable and very easy to assemble/insert the snorkel tube. The straps are adjustable and made of a soft fabric material and are extremely comfortable. The interior of the mask is made up of two “chambers” separating the mouth and nose area from the eye area. While trying it on and wearing it out of water I noticed that it was very easy to breathe and that even though the mouth chamber got fogged up, the eye area remained fog free and very clear. This mask does come with integrated GoPro mount and a thumbscrew to secure was also included. The snorkel tube simply slides onto a port on the top of mask and clicks into place, making a seal by the use of an O ring (extra O ring is also included). Can’t wait to try it out.

Tried the old way and this new way
I have things coming up this summer and I wanted to try one of these out and hopefully get used to it before going on these trips. It's definitely interesting and I think I would recommend it for some people, but it won't work for me. I stopped in at a dive shop (in an attempt to get a clue) and they said that you can't go deep with this because you can't equalize your ears like with a normal face mask with access to your nose. I don't usually need to plug my nose to equalize, but when going under with this mask I experienced exactly what he was talking about.LIKE:• Natural breathing; as natural as you can with your face in the water.• Breather tube on top and valve on bottom work as advertised.• Good for light-duty underwater sight-seeing.• Water that does make it in escapes easily.• Relatively little fogging (but mine fogged up more than none at all.)NO LIKE:• Compared to a nice Cressi mask, the contours of this mask distort the view.• If you go fully underwater, the mask sucks to your face.• You can't go deeper than a few feet because you can't equalize your ears.Neat, fun toy, but that's really all it is. I found that I prefer a good dive mask and snorkel combo.

Overall the mask is great. As mentioned elsewhere it probably won't work great if you plan on diving deep. I went down about 15' or so and I don't have a big nose but the pressure was pushing the lens against my nose. When I originally read you can't dive deep I was thinking it was because of the volume of air would cause it to pull up on your head but this wasn't really an issue. It just gets a little uncomfortable. The mask includes an extra o-ring for the snorkel tube and another one way valve. If you get water in the mask you can blow out while on the surface and there is a drain at the bottom of the mask with a check valve and it will push out the water. I tried while underwater to clear water from the mask but it seemed to push the air out the top of the snorkel. Not out the bottom anyhow. I suspect the check valve had too much pressure on it. Not a big deal. When you surface you don't have to clear the snorkel tube at all. Just breath normally. The only time I really got water in the mask was a little leaking from the seal because of hair in the way breaking the seal a little. Also I did test it upside down for leaks. I swam down, flipped over so I was facing the surface of the water and rolled back over to test if I got water in the mask and I didn't have any issues. I was impressed by that.As for draw backs. I would say most of them are with the GoPro mount. It works but I would recommend testing it out before going on a big trip. We didn't have time and I would have make some mounting adjustments had I ordered it sooner and tested first. I used it with a Hero 5 Session and the mount is fully compatible but here are my concerns. The nut on the mask is lose. It isn't held in place. So if you remove the camera take care in securing the nut so you don't lose it. I just had an extra thumb bolt and kept one on the mask. It doesn't come with one. This way I could keep the nut held in place when the camera was being used in other mounts. Also the camera mounts pretty high on the mask. This means when swimming on the surface it is actually above the water from time to time. At least it was for me. I would use an extension to mount it a little different. I am considering getting some to mount extend it more along side the mask rather than on top. I could leave these extensions on there and solve my lose nut issue. Or use one to mount it a little lower along the top of your field of view. Another note is that it is a little difficult to talk to others on the surface with the mask on. As well as if you use one of those inflatable snorkeling vests you can inflate it with the mask on. It isn't hard to lift it to do those tasks at all.Overall I would buy it again and recommend it. Just take some time to test out the GoPro mounts before a big trip.

Fiance could never get a good seal around her eyes and water leaked in there
Not meaning to knock an American company trying to do things here, but here it goes!I bought one for me and one for my fiance. We decided to use only one as they were ordered the same size/different colors.I could never get a seal and was always getting water from under my chin. Came close to breathing in water a couple times. It did fog up a lot even with anti fog goop bought from Amazon.Fiance could never get a good seal around her eyes and water leaked in there. She is a long distance ocean swimmer and could not get it to work properly.Might find a different style that fits me or her better. Just using the normal mask and snorkel I'm used to now.Good luck to an American company.
