Perfect size and functional
I love that this item was far less expensive on Amazon than in stores (like $20 difference). Well made and doesn't really get too hot, but it's lightweight and perfect for smaller pattern pieces. I haven't let it run to test the auto shut off, but I did notice that the light will turn on if it's plugged in, though this does not mean that it is turned on. So make sure to turn it on.

5 years , still love it! Laptop epp is easy
I use a computer lapboard and pressing mat to make epp shapes sitting on the couch. I "paint" starch around the edges (that I have sprayed into the cap of aerosol can). No need for basting or glue. 5 years and works great.

Good iron...But terrible packaging!
The mini iron is handy and works well.... when you get it out of the plastic container. MY GOSH... the worst packaging ever. Trying to cut it out.. left cuts on my hands. It is the typical plastic "wrapped" around the shape of the item. Iron works good and get hot enough for crafting....but not sure I'd tackle the wrapping again if I needed to purchase again.

Cute!
This is just the right size to iron tiny seams open in a doll dress and other tight places where my big iron either won't fit or where the big iron makes creases in the wrong places because it's big. It balances on an attached wire thingamabob that folds out of the way while in use. But it also lies on its side without the hot part touching anything, which works for me, too. I like having more than one heat setting. It's perfect for what I wanted it for. It doesn't replace a big iron, but it does offer control in small areas. The ironing surface is about an inch long, really cute and shaped just like a real iron. It made very satisfactory creases where I wanted them. Not for kids, though. It's easy to forget this thing is hot!

Great iron for encaustic & art projects
Great little iron that I use for encaustic collage on large areas, such as applying fabric or printed papers to a panel for backgrounds. I love it's ergonomic possibilities as it has four levels of adjustment. Its also fantastic for encaustic safely with four heating levels-I use level 2 for encaustic. Also, great for safety is that it has it's own attached stand, so you just pick it up and put it back down with ease. It's a must have for encaustic collage enthusiasts.

Don't bother buying the Dritz Petite Press Portable Mini Iron, it won't last.
The Dritz Petite Press Portable Mini Iron was not worth the $30 I paid for it. Didn't heat evenly and now does not even work. Only used it 3 times when I went to use it a couple months later it didn't work at all. It wouldn't turn on, show numbers or get hot, although red power light was on. I should have used it a lot when I got it so when it died so soon I could have returned it. I was hoping it would be wonderful as it was just the right size

I chose between this and the Clover brand tiny iron; this one has a MUCH better design, you don’t risk burning yourself. The long handle makes this easy to use on tricky tiny fabric items. Proper well made smooth heat plate, has four temperature settings, which is great. Heats up enough to iron Cotten and linen etc, I use a spray bottle to help with the pressing, as there is no steam function. Otherwise it’s a real tiny iron, works just like a large one.
