you pretty much can't go wrong with this brand! Birkenstocks are always comfortable and amazing quality shoes. I will say that the sizing is somewhat different. I am usually a solid 8 in the US but in the Birkenstock Gizehs I had to get a size 38 (US 7-7.5). I got these in silver and they are soo cute- the perfect blend of comfort and cuteness. :-) Once you know your size, you will LOVE these shoes- and it takes a little while (maybe a few weeks) to break them in but once they're broken in, they're the most comfortable shoes ever. The negative reviews have been written by people who have not allowed time for the shoes to be broken in and get comfortable.

My favorite sandals

I will most certainly buy more of these sandals in different colors. I have a very wide foot, size 7 in an EEE to EEEE (mostly EEEE) and these shoes meet my needs. They are pretty and well made with excellent materials - I would recommend to anyone with similar wide feet as mine. I love these shoes! One of the things I especially love is that they have no heels, just not even surface which is such a relief on my back - I have spinal stenosis and any kind of lift in the heel is torture... thank you for a wonderful pair of sandals...

In the first 6 months, the top of the shoe cracked. In year 2, the cork cracked. I am very dissatisfied and feel like this shoe is a knock off from a real birk.

I wore these out in a year walking all over Europe for miles a day. The longest I walked was 15 miles in a day and most days averaged 10 miles.- with that said I wore down the heel but they held out beautifully. Price is also super inexpensive compared with other stores! Color is very bright and attractive!

I've owned several pair of the Birkenstock Gizeh shoes over the years and I love them! Until now I have required a narrow footbed, however my foot has widened since pregnancy and I ordered a regular this time and they fit wonderfully. Birkenstocks do take some time to wear in and are not very comfortable at first, however give them time. As they mold to your foot and break in, they will become the most comfortable shoe you have ever worn!
