Who knew?!
Who knew that yacon syrup would be so yummy? I have mainly used it in my tea, and you do need a good amount of it in order for it to taste sweet. But it's good and has the benefit of prebiotic fiber!

The South American Molasses but low glycemic and expensive NO SNAP ?
This Low Glycemic Molasses tasting syrup is a god send. I do not feel guilty using YACON as OPPOSED to Brown Sugar Turbinado or Maple syrup in my coffee or shakes. As We are all told Sugar of any kind like White Refined, Brown Refined,Maple and even Honey is considered by most health Practitioners bad for us. Raw Unfiltered Organic Honey is better but still boost blood sugar and the servings we are told to use on the bottle are too damn high like a table spoon which could add up to 15 grams or more of sugar and thats alot and addictive. WHY HAPPY ANDES DOES NOT ALLOW SNAP EBT FOR THIS LOW GLYCEMIC FOOD and I EMPASIS FOOD, 1x MORE, ITS A FOOD and SHOULD BE eligible for SNAP EBT. HAPPY ANDES NEEDS TO ALLOW SNAP FOR THIS YACON sugar ITS EXPENSIVE FOR A SWEETNER.

Good but was missing something.
So I didn't know about this syrup but since being on keto I've been searching for alternatives to the other fake sugars due to the horrible after taste. This syrup takes some getting use to. I did not like the way it tasted plain so I took some out of the jar and put it in another jar then added about a 1/4tsp of pure vanilla extract let it sit overnight and added to my keto almond pancakes and the syrup made those pancakes taste much better not to mention the vanilla made the syrup taste more palitable as well. I would definitely buy more of this syrup I'll just need to add in my vanilla.

Great benefits with this and keeps digestion moving.
It definately works to keep your digestion moving. Better than taking lots of fiber. I've been using it in my coffee. There isn't a noticeable taste. It does say to use a teaspoon but I have cut back to a half teaspoon. I never knew about this product until I read an article on it.

Do not like the taste
I started following Dr. S. Gundry and am trying hard to loose weight, eat better, avoid lectins. One of the things he recommends is this Syrup instead of Maple Syrup because it has a super low glycemic index and won’t raise your blood sugar much.I have to admit I was eager to try it and was excited when I got it. After trying the tee ist bit of it I just can’t imagine how anyone would put that on a pancake, flour of alternative “flour”. I can’t stand the taste. I waited a few days and decided to try again because often I need to try tho bf a a couple time until I like it but the second time was even worse.Maybe the rating is unfair because this is simply based on MY taste buds, which doesn’t make it a bad product. I guess, try it for yourself. Great that Amazon has such an awesome return policy and you can return it if you hate it. I waited too long so now I’m just trying to use it up in baking with nut flours instead of Monkfruit or Xylitol sweetener.

Not really a good sweetener for tea
I’m looking to reduce my sugar consumption because I drink a lot of green tea. I’ve read a lot about yacon and decided to try it. I’m not sure if my dissatisfaction is with the syrup in general or this brand in particular, but this one is thinner than I would expect a syrup to be and not really sweet. When I first tasted it on a spoon I thought it had some sweetness to it with a bit of a flavor I can only describe as similar to a lychee. Not really molasses as others describe it. But not off-putting. I first tried a half teaspoon in herbal tea but it didn’t add any sweetness. If anything I thought it was bitter. But the next morning I tried a teaspoon in some green tea. Not only was it still not sweet, it again was strangely bitter with a kind of extra weird flavor. It ruined a perfectly good cup of tea!I’m sorry I can’t return it. It’s turned out to be an expensive mistake trying it. I’ll stick to honey or maple syrup and just use less! Trying to live healthier but not happier isn’t a bargain!

Have bought multiple times from this brand, which packs carefully and is cheaper than the competition. Yacon syrup is great for diabetics!
