Is a yeti 20 too small for this?

No, it will fit in there just fine. I would probably tie it in the middle so that it doesn't rock around or flip inside the tube.

The handles are plenty strong to tow from using a rope tied to both handle on either side.

Will it fit an rtic 45?

This product fits a 36 quart to 50 quart cooler size.

Will this work with an rtic 65? the width dimensions of the cooler are ~3 inches larger but in my past experience this has not inhibited a snug fit

Not sure about the rtic, but I've got the yeti 65 and it fits in there snug. Maybe you could look up the specs on that and see how they compare to the rtic.
