TIPS TO USE👍 ENAMELWARE
This is made in Mexico NOT 🇨🇳!👍😃Enamelware is a very old style of cookware soooo you need to know how to use it. Its a thin peice of metal, IT GETS HOT ON THE FIRE WEAR SOME HEATPROOF GLOVES OR POTHOLDER LOL! I saw that poor review of someone offended that they burned their hand... fire hot = hot metal🤷♀️🤔 CARE TIPS: dont put enamelware straight off the fire into cold water. You will ruin it by cracking the enamel. LET IT COOL OFF BEFORE YOU WASH IT. Don't use steel wool, that will scratch enamel. Just soap and a nylon scrubber. Use wooden utensils or just becareful so you dont chip the enamel. Dry COMPLETELY AFTER WASHING. This is also why the old timers hung lots of enamelware on the walls, keep it dry, and it was beautiful. If you stack enamelware USE TOWELS BETWEEN ITEMS so you dont crack or chip enamel. If you crack enamel I just rub a bit of vaseline on the steel so it wont rust. I have read some use marine grease. I dont know how safe that is inside enamelware that comes in contact with food. But keep that rust away! Enamelware💗 can last for decades if you know how to use it👍 All the pourspout holes are unplugged. Not filled with enamel. I saw reviews complaining about the metal hinge holding the lid on bends, they do that. Its just how many peices are made. You can see 100 year old coffee boilers the same way.

AWESOME CAMPING POT!
UUUUUHHHHH... It's a coffee pot not a measuring cup! Does your MR. COFFEE have a mark at 6 cups? That said... Perfect size for a back a pack, 5 1/4 at the base, 6 3/4 spout to handle, 7 3/4 tall, the mouth is about 3 1/4 inches so you can find cups that will fit inside. Detachable top makes for easy cleaning. Beautiful enamel finish. Seems quite well made, I expect a long life. Because of it's small size the handle gets hot until you remove it from the boil, and depending on how YOU make coffee you have to babysit against boil overs.

Great size, problematic lid, quick-rusting
***FINAL REVIEW*** Because the lid of this kettle is an annoyance, I've switched to using it only during my Sunday morning meetings. Since I used it rarely now--even though I've had it only about six weeks, I don't inspect it often at all. Today I washed it out in very bright sunlight and noticed it's rusting very badly. Already. The enamel doesn't cover the seam or the cut holes that form the spout's filter. The enamel is also lacking on some other metal surfaces. See photos. This is really disappointing as this is my only non-stainless steel kettle for coffee. Back to using a large Pyrex measuring cup for coffee. :( The workmanship on this small kettle is sorely lacking--so much so that I wouldn't buy anything else from this company, GSI Outdoors. ***UPDATED REVIEW*** We've been using this pot every day for the past month. We're very happy with the size--it's perfect for one person and fits easily on our desktop mug-warmer to keep our beverages warm. The enamel ensures the taste of coffee doesn't change (metal/stainless steel spoils coffee to us). And, very importantly, the pour spout delivers a smooth, easy-to-control flow of liquid whether the pot is full or nearly empty. This saves the critical papers on our desk during meetings. But there's one area the company needs to improve and which compelled us to drop our initial 5-star rating to 3-stars. The enameled cover for the pot is attached with a cheap aluminum band to the pot's handle. Because this isn't secured to the pot itself, the enameled top awkwardly slides down when you wash the pot or even just open the top to pour into the pot. This spills condensed hot liquids wherever you open the lid, burning your hand. And every time the enameled lid slams into a hard surface--like a countertop, it runs the risk of chipping the enamel. This could all have been solved by using a pin mechanism to secure the lid to the rim of the pot like countless stainless steel beverage pots do. As it is, the cover is a liability and a nuisance to deal with. It's enough so that we're back on Amazon looking for a better replacement. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** We almost didn't buy this because of all the negative reviews. But they seemed to relate to the advertised volume of "3 cups." Another reviewer mentions that tea/coffee cups are often 6-oz (not 8-oz). We measured this small pot with a graduated measuring cup and it is, to its rim, about 18-ounces. Everyone in our family drinks tea/coffee at 8-oz to 12-oz at a time, so this pot's volume works perfectly for us. Bonus: it's so small it's inconspicuous on a documents-strewn workstation. But what sets this pot apart from the DOZENS of others we've looked at or tried are two things: 1) it's coated (thin!) with non-reactive enamel. This means it doesn't thrown that revolting metal flavor into coffee which ruins its taste (for us). And 2) the pot pours remarkably smoothly. We didn't dribble once from around 16-ounces all the way down to the last dregs--a half-ounce or so. Not a single drop of coffee or tea on our desk or around our electronics. Outstanding! We can't believe what a deal this little pot was. Small enough for one person, no ruination of coffee's delicate oils, and a dribble-free pour. Five-plus stars. Only improvement? We wish we could have bought this in a neutral color--like black or charcoal or white. But we'll take the blue for the other massive benefits.

Better Than Vintage Pots
This GSI 8-cup pot arrived in perfect condition. It makes about 3 mugs of cowboy coffee for me which is just what I wanted. This pot works extremely well with the Elite Gourmet ESB-301BF Countertop Single Cast Iron Burner, 1000 Watts Electric Hot Plate. I've used this pot several times with no chips or other issues. It's thin and it's most suitable to indoor use. All enameled pots new and very old are quite easily damaged. Treat them right and they'll last for decades.

Poor quality, but does the job.
Poor quality, came with enamel already chipped, to complete the vintage look :-D. My husband wanted to give the cowboy coffee a try, it does the job, but the quality definitely could be better.

Coffee aroma
This brought back memories of my childhood. The sight of the steam coming out of this pot the smell and taste of strong coffee is amazing . I would go a size bigger next time the brewing capacity is not much

I don’t know whether this is manufacturing fault or delivery damage. I bought this pot because I have previously been impressed with GSI equipment but this time I am disappointed. This was delivered to UK from USA and the packaging was tbh minimal. The first time I have been disappointed with amazon packaging, especially as they knew it had to travel around the world. The pot is a nice size but the metal is quite thin. I didn’t pay a great deal but the damage to the handle and enamel spoils what could have been a serviceable product.

Exactly what I needed. Good quality for the price. It's going to serve it's purpose by boiling water for coffee on the BBQ during a power outage. It's now been added to our emergency kit.
