I used to totally rely on Duracell (Mallory in old days) but in the last ten years I have totally relied on EVEREADY batteries. I have received Duracell product in last few years that the battery was sealed with the light or instruments in a blister pack and the battery/s leaked and were well within the manufacture expiration date. I have had two cameras, four flashlights ruined by the Duracell batteries and under their warranty, sent the Kel-Tec flashlights in for repair or replacement and Duracell tried to replace with a piece of junk Chinese manufactured similar. Final straw that broke the camel's back was over 10m years ago, I assembled Survival Kits for an elite US Military training group. Inside this kit was a small AAA Duracell Battery powered Kel-Light along with other Survival items. I purchased these flashlights from wholesaler in bulk, and they came with a battery installed. The Agency purchased a year's supply (100) of these kits and about six months into the program I started receiving complaints of dead batteries and corrosion. I replaced all of the remaining batteries with Eveready, batteries and there were no further issues.
