Are the laces removable???

No! These laces are internally routed through upper shoe fold which reaches around 'ankle' area. What is very bizarre about design is that laces run about 6 to 8 inches too long each side. You will end up dragging textile laces along the ground. I own a dozen boat shoes. These are the most uncomfortable foot bed you will ever feel. Stick to either Sperry, Sebago or Timberland. You might do better. Ever since these U.S. brands produced offshore in third world plants, fit is hit and miss. You may have to try a few of each model on to find one that feels good on your foot.

what is the difference between size 10.5 and 10.5W

10 W are wider than 10 M -Medium). I'm not sure of the difference in the width. I wear 10 M.

some reviews write that it is necessary to buy a half size larger. I have wide size should I buy my regular size fut or half a size up?

I bought my regular size, 10 wide. They fit, but I think a 10 1/2 would have fit even better - especially if you need to wear heavier (warm) socks.
