TAMASHII NATIONS Bandai S.H. Figuarts Piccolo Action Figure

I am one of those guys who collects figures. I own several different brands of these high quality, extremely detailed figures so I know what I'm talking about, you can trust me.This is a review on S H Figuarts' Piccolo from Dragonball Z. Piccolo is awesome. I know it, you know it. I picked up this figure for a good price, and I don't regret it. I have him on my self head down with his hand to forehead, as if doing his signature move "Special Beam Cannon"The box he comes in is larger than some of the other SHF figures, almost as big as SS3 Goku. he does not come with a stand or effect parts like SS3 Goku, but he does come with his cape. It looks awesome, with those spiky shoulder pads. his arms are removable which is great considering Piccolo loses his arm several times in the Anime, then they grow back. The reason his arms come off is because he comes with a part that makes it look like the is crossing his arms.This figures uses the colors in the manga, not the anime, which some will not like. for example his belt and wristbands are red instead of blue, and his muscles, or umm... the parts that aren't green and are usually pink, are yellow to match the eternal dragon. Oh yeah, his boots are brown instead of orange.This figure matches Gohan, but not the new SDCC Gohan that just came out, which uses anime colors, just FYILike all the S H Figuarts I recommend picking this up, however this figure's price skyrocketed recently. If you want this you should look around, maybe do some searching to get the best deal.

My first Sh Figuarts, and I was not disappointed. An incredible level of articulation leads to virtually endless possibilities in terms of poses/stances, meaning he can be put in almost any power-up/energy blast position.This, along with a stunning sculpt, amazing attention to detail, rich, beautiful colours and multiple different hands and heads mean this Piccolo practically looks like he blasted straight out of the animal/Manga and onto your shelf. A must have for any dedicated DBZ fan. Sh Figuarts has created The definitive Dragon Ball action figure line, and I will be back for more (Super Saiyan Goku and Gohan are on the way). Only downside is that once you have one, you'll find it incredibly difficult to not rush out and get the rest! If only Shenron could all grant us the entire Bandai SH Figuarts collection..

What a gorgeous figure. The sculpting is excellent, the extra accessories are ample in numbers, and the articulation engineering is top notch. The one issue I had was with putting in the folded arms with the cape on; that piece was just very frustrating to get at first. Eventually I realized that if you apply even pressure on the exact opposite side of the shoulder as you attempt to push the peg in, it'll be a much smoother operation. Caution should definitely be at the top of your mind while doing this, though, as the joints are strong but not indestructible. You may also dislodge the sleeve piece in the process, but it's easy to set back in place.Overall though, this figure has basically zero faults as is. Would I have liked an energy blast effect part for Piccolo? Yes. Could it have used more swappable heads? I suppose. But taken at face value with what you do get, it's hard to find issues.

I love this brand of Dragon ball action figures. This particular figure, my 4th received, was delivered very quickly. Piccolo comes with so many accessories and is a larger package size than most characters due to his cape and cape accessories. This figure was a bit more loose in the joints compared to the others ive purchased invthe past but overall still very worth it. Great figure, articulation and paint job.

Articulation is beast. The joints are smooth, neither flimsy nor super stiff out of the box. Posing is easy. The paint job is top notch and well detailed. He is my 5th in the line and he has not disappointed. I thought I could do without him but I was wrong and for the price, it was just right! You have enough to mess around with as far as parts goes. Worth you $35 hands down. Definitely a DBZ fan fave.

This is my first DBZ figure and my first figure with articulation, and I love it! I was worried that it would be on the small side, but it's a good size and scale (about 6 inches). The joints are very smooth and it's very easy to move everything around and pose Piccolo however you'd like - he even stands up on his own! The interchangeable parts go on and come off pretty easily, and once they're on they stay there until you pull them off (they don't just fall off randomly). What sold me on this figure was the folded arms piece because I love Piccolo's trademark brooding pose, although that piece was the most difficult to put on (you have to align the shoulder pieces and their pegs with the corresponding holes on the arms at the right angle, it's a bit tricky, but not impossible).Amazon has this figure at the lowest price that I've seen. Most sellers on eBay expect anywhere from $70-$100 for this Piccolo, and it seems to be sold out at almost all other retail outlets that would offer a price equal to or cheaper than this.All in all, I love Piccolo and I love this figure!

This is the Piccolo I wish I had as a kid. Perfect! A bummer the anime colors were limited edition, but a minor detail on an all around awesome figure. The chest-left arm joint is a little loose on mine, but a minor issue. Odd that his angry face is always looking to the side, but still can make sense when posing/playing with it. Highly recommended.
