Lesser pH is not big issue, its OK if pH reduces till 4. Problem is, that as plants grow, their roots increase pH of the hydroponic solution. So, pH of Hydroponic solution keeps increasing as plants grow up. At pH more than 6.5, nutrients (especially Calcium) starts precipitating out. That’s not good. I used this very effectively to get it down to pH 5.8 for hydroponics. Works as advertised and very little amount needed.
